Disco de Leaves' Eyes: “Into Your Light [Single]”

This single from Leaves Eyes debut album Lovelorn gives a very good introduction to the bands music. This is one of my favorite songs from them so I just had to buy the physical single! Liv's vocals are soft and sweet as always and this single will not disappoint. However if you are not familiar with leaves eyes, before purchasing this you may want to shoot for one of their full albums (Vinland Saga and Njord are my two favorites).

This was short and sweet but I like it... I guess I didn't look closely enough to realize it was basically a single CD. Multiple versions of the same song was a little disappointing but it will mix well on the Ipod.

This is the initial single by Leaves' Eyes. In this single, they show you exactly what they are about: Nordic themed Symphonic Metal. The melodies will knock you on the floor with satisfaction, and Liv Kristine's vocals are simply angelic. Any fan of Symphonic Metal will surely get much satisfaction out of this band.

If you're a fan of Leaves' Eyes, this song will (should!) rank right up among your favorites. I say 'should' because some of my melodic-metal-loving friends did not like this song as much as 'Elegy', 'Lovelorn', 'Legend Land', etc. Though I agree this song's appeal is different from that of 'Elegy', I loved it all the same.

This song starts off atmospheric and quickly gets full-on. There are few (if any) classical elements, but that doesn't make the track any less good. Buy this (or the album) and you won't be disappointed.
