Disco de Leningrad: “Dlya Millionov”

A great cd from the first to the last track - and not the easiest CD to find here in NJ. In addition to the 16 tracks listed on the CD jacket itself, there are an additional 8 tracks with no track listing anywhere on the packaging, or on the websites. That's 24 tracks on one great disc!!They include 2 tracks from the "Everything is Illuminated" soundtrack, as well as 6 other very fun tracks. This album is a bit more ska/fun style than "Bread" or "Gagarobot", and shows a very crude, vulgar, fun, and humorous side to Leningrad and Shnur. Excellent female vocals on several tracks as well - a great CD for fans of Gogol Bordello, Balkan Beat Box, Tamir Muskat, Devotchka, and the like!

This band is one of the more interesting to come out of Russia; the band covers at least 3 different genres of music that I've seen including hip-hop, rock, lounge, drinking, pop... Just on and on.

A band that really just has fun with music, and doesn't take itself seriously like so many others nowadays.

I recommend this if you need something to listen to on a drive, at work, in a shop, anything. Even if you don't speak Russian, the music is fun!

A good album. Also fun if your learning russian and want to learn a lot of vulgar slang ans swear words.
