- Forget your prejudices...

I'm sick of trendy music critics who slate "MOR" groups just because they are what they are. Some of the best albums of the last ten years might be lumped into this category, The Devlins' Waiting, George Michael's Older and, certainly, Lighthouse Family's Postcards From Heaven. Never a big fan of their debut, Ocean Drive, Postcards is a much moodier, mellower record full of subtle, implied emotion. The closest they come to 'pop' is on the two lead singles Raincloud and High, but it's elsewhere that the real gems lie. The ballads are timeless - particularly Sun In The Night, Lost In Space and the title track. As dreamy and endearing a trio of songs as you could ever hope to hear. The album is essential for these tracks alone, but the whole works splendidly and for anyone, and I mean anyone you self-righteous muso bastards, this is a very worthwhile purchase.

- Make me High (in a good way)

I loved their first album Ocean Drive and when the first single from this CD "Raincloud" was playing in the radio, I rushed to the store to buy this one too. And I was amazed with the whole collection. It was better than the first album with the songs like High, Lost in Space, Raincloud and Postcards From Heaven. This is one of my favorite CDs

- Another Pot Of Briliant Gold

Lighthouse Family's second cd 'Postcards From Heaven' could have been called Ocean Drive Part Two or bonus tracks from the Ocean Drive album and it still would be priceless.

I say this because the formula, style and instrumentation remains the same yet is still refreshing and you can never grow tired of this two man band.

For many months, the song 'High', the chart topping single from this cd would make me cry. Tunde's voice is very breezy and earthy, the lyrics are inspiring and hold so much promise and Paul's insrumentation in the background lends it's own magnetism.

'Raincloud' is a bit of a stretch for them, more dance Euro-pop than easy listening but it is an awesome song and I dont know why and I'm not sure I recall seeing the video but the song reminds me of a train speeding past.

'Question Of Faith' is one of my favourite Lighthouse Family songs of all time. Enough said.

'Once In a Blue Moon', 'Let It All Change' and the haunting 'Lost In Space' are slower but very good.

The title track is very good but strangely for me not as strong as the others.

Another winner from one of the coolest duos ever.

- Music to relax to

As soothing as Ocean Drive, Postcards From Heaven does not disappoint those who are trying to escape from the noise but not sit in silence, or just relax on the couch but not fall asleep. The Lighthouse Family consistently puts out music you can listen to regardless of what mood you're in. And Tunde Baiyewu has a voice that makes you feel like the words he's singing are meant for you and tailored to whatever situation you may find yourself in on any given day. We can all relate to the lyrics, and we can all relax to the music. A great album!

- one you'll play repeatedly until it plays in your head!

Stumbled on this while in Ireland and loved it again and again. Enjoyed all the tracks and each cut blends well into the mood of the whole album. Pleasant and infectious to those who enjoy the mood of an unique vocal blended with just simple melodies. Raincloud starts up the energy and is a catchy single. I'm not sure they're really a family but they've become one of mine. Appealing to a wide variety of tastes. Stop reading and buy this - someone like you will love it!
