Pushing off somewhat from their trademark rap-metal model, the songs that comprise RESULTS MAY VARY display a band reaching musically. <p>"Gimme the Mic" carries on the spirit the band found success with on SIGNIFICANT OTHER, but the majority of this latest effort finds frontman Fred Durst and company leaning towards a more melodic and musical stance, both instrumentally and vocally. Nods to contemporaries sneak in on "Eat You Alive" and "Down Another Day," (with a clear Tool influence prevailing), and uber-producer Brendan O'Brien mixes in a crisp, biting production. The lyrics to the classic Who track "Behind Blue Eyes" struck enough of a responsive chord with Durst that he was inspired to cover it, going so far as to add an additional verse. Rap metal may be going the way of the dinosaur, but Limp Bizkit seems to have the staying power to carry on.

This is Limp Bizkits fourth studio album and the first album recorded without guitarist Wes Borland.Although you do notice the absence of guitarist Wes Borland, it is still a very good.I would say it is isn't in the league of the other three but that is just my opinion & it is still has very good songs and still has the LB sound.If you are a LB fan,then you should like this album.There is a "making of" this album on youtube,that goes into the background & making of LB's "Results May Very".I say "buy it!"

If your a traditional limpbizkit fan then you might not enjoy this album much as it only has 3 heavy songs(Eat You Alive, Gimmie the Mic, and Head for the Barricade) however limpbizkit with temporary guitarist Mike Smith take a new approach in this album as the songs like Build a Bridge and Down Another Day are emotional and have real meaning. If you would like to see how limpbizkit has evolved as a band and gone in new directions but still kept some of the same stuff that we all love then pick up Results May Vary.

They ripped off The Who's song "Behind Blue Eyes". The Who did a much better job with that song, and if you think that Limp Bizkit is a genius for that song, you are dumb. Get The Who's version and enjoy it instead.
