- Great start from a great band
The first time I heard anything from this album was when (by chance) I picked up a music video compilation which included "King Kong Five". At the time I hated it -- now I'm mad at myself for losing the video. Last year I heard something from "Casa Babylon" on the radio and I went online and bought it the same day. Now I've come back round to listening to this album again and I'm completely enchanted.
I wonder if the reviewers below who don't understand how the man who made Clandestino could have made this album have listened to the later Mano Negra stuff. There's certainly a logical progression from early M.N. to the later material, and a fairly seamless move from their last album to Manu Chao's solo album Clandestino (with the understanding that Clandestino is a more populist or folk approach).

- A great music cocktail!
This is one of the records that make us think that we live in a global village. You can find a lot of references of many diferent cultures, but it's not a world music album, it's a transglobal record with lots of energy. I saw a live concert in Oporto with few people in the audience, but the band gave us an excelent performance. If you are bored with the mainstream, buy it now.

- Around the world music
Mano Negra was probably one of the best groups that France has given to Latin America and the world. Puta's Fever sings to everybody.

- How did Manu get from here to Clandestino?
I love Clandestino by Manu Chao. So I went looking for more by the same guys and decided to try Puta's Fever. Don't make my mistake. You have been warned, save yourselves now!
