- Only buy if you don't have Rude Awakening

These are the same songs that are on the live Rude Awakening CD from a few years ago. They're good songs and everything, but if you already have Rude Awakening then you have no reason to buy this. And really I'd suggest buying

instead. Same songs, plus more. A little more expensive but its worth it.

- Rude Awakenings?

This CD released by Sony BMG appears to be part of the Extended Versions series for various artists. I decided that I must get the Megadeth one as I have all of Megadeth's other stuff. The songs on this CD are all live recordings. After the first listen, I noticed the compilation was quite familiar. These songs are actually half the songs from the live Megadeth album Rude Awakening (Sanctuary Records). There is a good mix of tracks on here including Dread and the Fugitive Mind, Peace Sells and In My Darkest Hour. 10 Tracks in total. The mastering on this disc is a bit quieter compared to the sound of the same tracks on Rude Awakening. The disc is a good addition to your Megadeth collection if you are wanting to collect every Megadeth disc, introduce someone else to live Megadeth or grab one to play in the car. The better option is to buy Rude Awakenings.

- Extended verions of what?

All tracks are live - nothing "extended" that I could tell. If you have their box set, then you most likely do not need this.

- Nice little Live set

Again, this is another ploy by sony to milk the megadeth name for what it's worth. It is a live set played on The World Needs a Hero Tour(likely featuring Jimmy Degrasso on drums, Al Patreli on guitar, and "Junior" David Elfson on Bass), or possibly on their greatest hits tour, with an interem line up before the Drover brothers joined. It is a tight set, litte croud talk, and this clock in at just around 50 minutes also. Unlike other "Extended Versions" this does not have many if any swear words to blip, like anthrax's. Worth a look for megadeth fans, and a good price. Here is the track listing:

1. Dread and the Fugitive Mind

2. Wake Up Dead

3. In My Darkest Hour

4. Angry Again

5. Train of Consequences

6. Hanger 18

7. Return To Hanger

8. Trust

9. Symphony Of Destruction

10. Peace Sells

I Hope you enjoy this if you purchase it, a bit hard to find at this time. I know I like my copy.
