- The "Deth" Machine is Stonger than ever!
If you asked me years ago, would I be listening to the best metal live album, in 2007, I would have said no. heck,at one point it looked like we would never see a Megadeth album again. yet Dave has put the best line-up together in Meg History, put out one of the best studio albums from Megadeth "United Aboinations", and now one of the best Metal live albums ever. This band is so tight. They bring so much to the band. They nail the old stuff and kill with the new. The Drover brothers are unbelievable and James is a great addition to the rhythm section. Songs sound heavier than ever. If you are looking for a cd of great riffs and leads, then get this album... and defenitly check them out on Tour..

- I agree
I agree with a lot of the other reviews - this is one of the best live metal albums - and Megadeth's best live album, I find it a lot better in sound that on Rude Awakening. The sound quality is very good just like you'd hear when you hear Megadeth live, and this also proves how well these guys can really play their stuff old and new - Mustaine has never lost his touch in the band keeping up getting the new members to play the songs they did not record. For those into that live metal sound, get this.

- Best live metal cd EVER!!!!!
I just got this cd today and I have to say that it is F##king awsome!!! This has to be the best lineup Megadeth has ever had. I am also just like other Megafans that thought Dave may never play as good as he used to. WOW!! I was wrong. I read in Guitarworld that he has re-learned the guitar and plays better than he used to. Well, he was not wrong at all. I just want to say that if you are new to the metal world and want to know what real metal is.....GET THIS LIVE DISC!!!!!!!!!!

- Three More Songs Are Included On This Version.
If you didn't already know, this is available as a DVD as well. However,
DVD version doesn't include "Skin Of My Teeth," "Die Dead Enough," and "ANGRY AGAIN". So if you are debating between CD or DVD you'll want to take that into consideration.
Now that that is out of the way I'll move on to the performance. Let's be honest...this is not Megadeth's shining hour. I'm probably being a bit unfair to the guys in the band, but it's just the cold hard truth. You can hear it. While the album isn't bad, it isn't as clean as the performance on Megadeth's other live album
. This isn't a knock on the skill of the Drover brothers or bassist James MacDonough (Iced Earth), I just don't think they had enough time to get up to speed on the Megadeth library. This may explain why another review says "Reckoning Day...sounds sloppy." It's just a shame that there isn't a full length live album from the Nick Menza, Marty Friedman, David Ellefson era, since many fans consider that Megadeth's golden age.

- Good but not solid...
I love Megadeth and the fact that they are still a Metal band (cheap shot to Metallica...) This album really puts together what Megadeth is all about "In your face metal". Now to the album itself.. Is it their best live album? Given that they do not have that many live ones, this is probably not their best. Consider the band line up on this one vs Rude Awakening...Guitar work is much solid in Rude Awakening, heck, even the drums (compare Reckoning Day on both albums, the song on this album is just sloppy). I have to agree that on this album at least Mustaine doesn't sound like he's drunk when he's singing. Also, the song editing is a bit sloppy, some songs just cut right in, like they cut off the intro part of them.
Overall a good album but not what I was expecting. If you're looking for a live album by Megadeth, consider first Rude Awakening (or at least give that a listen first, then try this one) and you will see the difference in guitar/drum work (I know, I know, they both have different line ups, but they do make a huge difference).
