Location: さいたまスーパーアリーナ 日本の秋！メタルの秋！ 初日はLOUD PARK的バラエティ豊かなラインナップ、 2日目はなんと"CRUE FEST"とのコラボレーション！ 「メタル再燃」という言葉が各メディアで話題となった2006年、日本史上最大のメタル・フェスティバルとして“LOUD PARK”誕生。2日通し券は発売当日に即日完売。最終的には2日間合計で約30,000人の動員を記録し、大成功を収めた。第1回目終了直後から早くも次回の開催を要望する声も多かったが、2007年には場所をさいたまスーパーアリーナへと変更し、第2回目を開催。座っても楽しめる環境が好評を博し、2年連続で大成功を収めたことで、世界中で飛躍的に認知度を高めた。 アーティスト・ラインナップもこの上なく豪華で、2006年にはスラッシュ・メタル界の生ける伝説“SLAYER”、完全復活を成し遂げた“MEGADETH”、HR/HM史上最高レベルの歌唱力を誇るディオ率いる“DIO”など総勢36バンド、2007年にはそのディオが在籍した時期のBLACK SABBATHである“HEAVEN AND HELL”、ロック界の異形のカリスマ“MARILYN MANSON”など総勢24バンドが出演。世界でも類を見ない日本独自のラインナップが一堂に会した。午前11時から午後10時までの11時間×2日間に渡って爆音を放ち続け、超満員のオーディエンスを文字通り熱狂の渦に巻き込み、会場内にはメロイック・サインが終始咲き乱れた。 オーディエンスの年齢層も10代～50代と非常に幅広く、各年代のメタル層を取り込むことに成功したと言えるだろう。さらにスラッシュ、メロディック・デス、メロディック・スピード、ロックンロール、ハードコア、シンフォニックといった細分化されつつあるメタル・シーンを集約した内容になったことも成功の大きな要因となっている。また、場内に出展されているレコード会社や楽器メーカーのブースでも、グッズ配布やサイン会などのイベントを実施。アーティストとファンとの交流を深める貴重な機会を提供している。 3回目となる今年は、1980年代よりバッド・ボーイズ・ロックの代名詞として活躍し、“CRUE FEST”と称するフェスティヴァル・ツアーを立ち上げ世界中の話題を集めているMOTLEY CRUE、ヘヴィ・メタルの枠に囚われないスタイルと音楽性で全世界にショックを与え続ける激烈9人組SLIPKNOT、初来日となる元PANTERAのフィル・アンセルモ率いるDOWN、劇的な再結成を遂げたARCH ENEMYのマイケル・アモットを擁する伝説的デス・メタル・バンドCARCASS、英米のメタル・シーンの次世代を象徴するAVENGED SEVENFOLD&BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE、メロディック・メタル･シーンを牽引するフィンランドのSONATA ARCTICA、ブリティッシュ・ヘヴィ・メタルの究極型DRAGONFORCEなど出演陣も豪華になっている。
