- An amazing debut album

After seeing the video for The Year Summer Ended in June, I was surprised at good it sounded. So anyway I decided to go pick up this cd but I didn't have the highest expectations for it, thinking that it was probably more of the same tired hardcore/metalcore stuff that most bands in those genres keep making today. Boy was I wrong, this is one of those cds where the band knows how to create the perfect balance between the heavy moments and the emotional breakdowns. Every song is great and I especially liked the quieter track Worlds & Dreams. Anyways, go do yourself a favor and get this cd if your into the metalcore/hardcore scene.

- amazing in every aspect

this band has so much talent not just in the way they play but the way they write and organize their music. awesome guitar playingwith some brutal breakdowns, and their singer sceam every word with such passion that it can just overwhelm you especially on the eyar summer ended in june, you can tell he isvery passionate about his music and what he is writing about. this band should be so much more popular then they are. they remind me of scars of tomorrow but heavier some pats more melodic in others. the last track on this cd comes completely out of left field but it is so amazing i kinda wish theyd realease a whole album of material like that sometime in the future but then again it might creat a huge backlash but i found it very enjoyable and moving to listen to. amazing record best hardcore cd in a long long time.

- Great band, no reason to buy the import though

This is an amazing band and one of my favorite CDs ever written. All of the musicians are able to convey exactly what they are feeling through their instruments from the drums in back straight through to the vocals in front.

Buy this cd... but don't buy the import unless you are a collector. No extra tracks. The music video for The Year Summer Ended In June is included on the cd but at a very low quality, not much better than you'd get on youtube for free.

- Intense, emotional metalcore

Welcome to Misery Signals, a band rising from the ashes of the disbanded 7 Angels 7 Plagues. With their first full length release, Misery Signals shows us the their uncanny ability to emote with a metal serenade. Every aspect of muscianship on this album is superb, from the distorted guitars played brilliantly beside each other to the bass guitar which backs the collage in a refreshingly different way than most modern metal bands (i.e. not just the same notes all the time). But the real show stealer here is the drums... my god this man is a genius... not too flashy, so you might not notice it at first, but everything is so well thought out with timing changes at perfect intervals... just a pefect backbone to this band. The singing is pretty much standard fare if you listen to this genre, nothing to rave about but still good, though there is a little bit of a change in the norm on the last track, Difference of Veangeance and Wrongs. The only problem with this album is there are a few forgettable tracks. It's nothing unforgivable as every track has its merits, but a few are just not as good as the really standout ones. Overall, if you enjoy this type of music, you simply cannot go wrong with this band, I recommend them to all my friends on a constant basis.

MUST LISTEN: Five Years. Best song on the album and a song that is absolute metal perfection, especially the ending.

Other standout tracks: The Year Summer Ended in June, Worlds and Dreams, In Summary of What I Am
