Mobb Deep

Mobb Deep Album: “Life of the Infamous: The Best of Mobb Deep [PA]”

Mobb Deep Album: “Life of the Infamous: The Best of Mobb Deep [PA]”
Description :
Recording information: 1995. <p>One of New York's most commercially underrated and consistent groups to survive the 1990s, Mobb Deep have made a profound impact on the hip-hop world from both lyrical and production standpoints since the duo came on the scene with their aptly titled 1993 debut, JUVENILE HELL. Over the years, Havoc and Prodigy have perfected the "grimey style" introduced on their definitive 1995 LP THE INFAMOUS MOBB DEEP--a style that made crews like Dipset and G-Unit possible, and prompted many veteran groups to make adjustments. The compilation LIFE OF THE INFAMOUS brings together 17 of Mobb Deep's most popular album joints, understandably focusing on the duo's long tenure with Loud Records (including key cuts from their 1995 classic sophomore album), prior to their move to G-Unit in 2005. This is an excellent introduction to Mobb Deep, and a nice mix for veteran listeners looking for the hits.

- Far from the best of Mobb Deep

If you want the best of Mobb Deep, pick up The Infamous first and then pick up Hell on Earth. Those are by far Mobb Deep's best albums.

This collection does not contain the best of Mobb Deep's work. Instead, it is more a singles collection. But when you have as many tracks from Infamy as you do from The Infamous, you know this is a flawed disc. Way too many tracks from the later Mobb albums and way too few from their earlier ones. Also, some key singles like "Peer Pressure" and "Give up the Goods" are missing.

- Not the best.

These are just A FEW of the best tracks made by the legendary duo Prodigy and Havoc, but this album definitely doesn't contain all of the illest songs made. It should of been a double or tripe disc cd. Definitely check out the Infamous and Hell on Earth, along with Infamy for the best of Mobb Deep.

- Good collection

Life Of The Infamous is as the title suggests the best of Mobb Deep, the legendary hardcore hiphop duo from Queens. Basically the album includes their hits from all stages of their career as all best of albums should do, up util track 9 you have all superb tracks from the 90's when Mobb Deep were untouchable, after that the album gets a little sketchy as they indeed did in real life. Still well worth buying if you dont own all their albums, especially for the tracks off Juvenile Hell, The Infamous, Hell On Earth and Murda Muzik, but in an effort to include all their hits (as they should do because it is a greatest hits album), it does include some pretty wack songs from their spectacular fall off in recent years. The new tracks are also nothing like the work they were doing in their peak.

Still recommended for anyone who wants to start listening to the Mobb however all their long term fans wont find much new here.

- A Great Collection!!

This collection is a must for all the fans who've been looking for something special on the Mobb. This Cd has all the must have greatest hits, except for one, Give Up The Goods (Just Step), but you won't even notice, since this song sounds almost like Shook Ones II, which is on this collection already! You get 15 hits on this collection, and 2 exclusive tracks found only on this collection, from the G Unit era. This is all you need from Mobb Deep up until now.
