- Superjudge is an intravenious journey to outer space.
This is probably my very favorite Magnet slab. The ever sickening "overproduction" mistake is not present on this album. If Monster Magnet is the space rock, stoner sound they claim, than this is a supernova of a fix. The super saturated fuzz guitars swirl, and wind around driving "groove" balanced bass lines. Cascading, dark drum fills and rythms pound out the platform for this psychedelic orgasm. Wyndorf's vocals don't overpower the music, but blend into this psycho-space stew like mushrooms in tea. Buy it, and prepare yourself accordingly!

- dirty, dirty, dirty
as others have pointed out this record is the bridge between Spine of God and all the other mm discs thru God says No. pschyadelia is in full effect here but over songs which sound like they were written in a chop shop behind a graveyard. Cage around the Sun in one of the best MM compositions ever. it sort of distills everything they're about, bridging creepily beautiful acid folk with '70s monster riffs. leader dave wyndorf sounds like he's having a blast being as comically over the top with the vocals as possible. all the songs are great, but rockers Face Down and Twin Earth are the full out treats, absolutely brilliant and decadent rock stuff. most people don't understand that monster magnet perform their music slightly tounge in cheek. once you get this, it's easy to get into how heavy and cool they are. superjudge, if you can deal with the slightly lo-fi production, is a classic.

- The best stoner rock album available...
Nevermind Welcome to Sky Valley, this is easily the best stoner/hard rock album i've ever heard. Monster Magnet were on top of their game with this release.
From the hard rocking Dinosaur Vacume to the middle-eastern tinted Black Balloon, this cd will have you headbanging in no time; something which was barely possible on Spine Of God.
This got more lovin' speed then your lonely souls can chew.

- DEFINING A GENRE WITH SUPERJUDGE.
Yes, this album defines "Stoner Rock". This album deserves Epic Status. Considered by most that know their Monster Magnet to be the best album of Monster Magnet. Offers such gems as "cyclops Revolution", "Superjudge", "Cage Around the Sun", and the Hawkwind cover "Brainstorm". A highly recommended album that accepts no substitutes.

- SUPERJUDGE great rock!
SUPERJUDGE is a terrific album, and although it took many listens to appreciate SUPERJUDGE, those listens were worth it. Dave Wyndorf continues to be one of the most creative and talented songwriters of all time.
The album gets off to a good start with the double-attack of the atmospheric rocker "Cyclops Revolution" and the splendid Sabbath-like "Twin Earth". "Cage Around The Sun" has a great acoustic intro and fleshes it's rock out enough to keep you interested. "Dinosaur Vacume" is another mind**** from Wyndorf, while the stomping "Evil (Is Goin' On)" hits you hard. Other highlights are the title track, "Elephant Bell", and the rocker "Stadium".
SUPERJUDGE began the path towards DOPES TO INFINITY, and SUPERJUDGE will be a welcome addition to your Monster Magnet collection. Give this one a spin, and see the evolution of the Magnet!
