- Complete, but...
This collection is very complete, it includes every version of every song that was made for the first 4 motley albums. Alltough the music is very complete a few things are missing. First of all they didn't included the lyrics from any of the songs, the package is very nice, but to my taste a little small (it's the size of a VHS) I tought it was a little bigger. The book that comes inside is very nice, has tons of pictures, but they should have added the lyric's!!!!. Second of all no artwork from any of the albums, this collection basically consists of a book, and the four cd's, but none of them comes with it's booklet, which I tought it would come, so that's my complain: No artwork from each cd, and no lyrics. Besides that, I do believe is kind of expensive for what you end up getting, alltough the package is nice and the collection is complete, I feel that they could sell it for a little less, maybe Mr. Sixx could think about that for the die hard crue fans!!, but in general this is a good collection for any hard core fan if you don't have the albums already.

- Motley at their best
I used to own all the Motley Crue albums on cassette and vinyl, and bought this compilation as a way to update all of their music to cd. Not only does this set include the songs from their first 4 (and best, in my opinion) albums, but it also includes demos of their earlier recordings, digitally remixed versions of their songs, and other songs not released on the original albums. It sounds fantastic and you couldn't ask for more. All in all, this is a GREAT compilation of their songs from the 1980's. If you're a Crue fan then this is a great buy!

- Crue at their legendary best!
The first 4 albums, plus the ORIGINAL Leathur version of Too fast for Love, Demos and a couple of unreleased gems. As a 44 year old father, makes me feel 25 years younger. Before metal became "Nu", there was this enjoyable, kick-a$$ rock with pop sensibilities, great for driving, working or suntanning to! Grab this box for the aforementioned TFFL original version, currently unavailable elsewhere, as well as the other 4 albums.

- The Crue is Timeless!
I was dubious about purchasing this box set at first because I had already purchased the remastered versions of the Crue's first 4 CDs. However, after reading some of the other reviews, I knew I had to get this box set, if only for the original "leathur" mix of "Too Fast For Love." Well, no disappointments here, the sound is spectacular, and it's almost like listening to a brand new album of vintage Motley material. If you are a true Crue fan, you must purchase this box set .... NOW! DO IT!
One final thought. I was a high school student in the early 80's, and there was no other music as cool as Motley Crue's. To this day, I still fondly remember riding around the streets of my town, with the car windows down and "Shout at the Devil" cranking from my crappy car stereo. I think I blew out my speakers by playing that album over and over and over again.

- A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!
Mötley Crüe has been my favourite band since 1983's Shout At The Devil but recently every aged over the hill rocker turns into a Gene Simmons wannabe! So is Mr. Sixx, while Vince is lost in Limbo, Mars is trying to get his illness under controll and Lee is kissing every NU Rocker and rapper's a@@, he closed deals with record labels to re-issue the Cruecial Crue Remastered CD's now with the Japanese bonustracks as an extra and some additional linear notes. release a GREAT DVD, release a box set in the UK with a double CD compilation and a PART of this previously mentioned DVD and now release PART 1 of a 16 disc boxset. Part 1 of 4 discs so the fans, he loves so much, don't have to pay for 16 discs at once in these financially recession filled dayz. He forgets to tell all of us that this so called box set for the fans is actually a repackaging of the again previously mentioned remastered with small addition of only the original Leathur Version of Too Fast For Love. So this is far from what we expected and OK a boxset with only NEW material is propably a thing only Bruce springsteen could have done but MOTLEY who's SO BIG and to whom the fans mean everything just repackage the remasters for the 3rd time! It's a SHAME!!! The longtime fans already owned the remasters maybe even twice for the Japanese bonustracks but selling them again as a boxset and making fans buy them again to get the highly sought aftre ORIGINAL mix of TFFL is tasteless. I keep my final judgement when all 4 sets are out but set 2 will obviously contain Feelgood, Motley Crue, Relics and Generation Swine, Set 3 the double Live Album, New tattoo and!?!? And hey, would set 4 be rarities and stuff or maybe a compilation of the previous 3 boxsets or maybe Vince's solo albums or GOD HELP ME Tommy's solo efforts?!?! Think twice before you buy!!!
