Der Termin für das nächste RUHRPOTT RODEO steht fest - zum zweiten Mal wird das Ruhrpott Rodeo an DREI TAGEN veranstaltet. Also haltet euch das Wochenende vom 22. bis 24. Mai frei, die ersten Bands wurden schon ins Line-Up eingetragen.

Kako upravo saznajemo, kultni grunge sastav i jedan od najpoznatijih predstavnike scene koja dolazi iz Seattle-a, Mudhoney, nastupiće 4. juna u Domu omladine Beograda. Za sada nije poznato više informacija, osim da će predgrupe biti surf rock trio Threesome iz Beograda, i američki sastav The Coathangers

Niko nije mogao da pretpostavi da će spoj Mudhoney i izdavačke kuće Sub Pop u Sijetlu, a u aprilu i jedni i drugi proslavljaju 27. rođendan, izvrnuti popularnu muziku naglavačke i pokazati da je u rokenrolu sve moguće, čak i kada vam ne ide mnogo toga u prilog. Tek osnovanu četvorku nazvanu po Ras Mejerovom filmu činili su traljavi studenti sa vrcavim smislom za humor koji po ko zna koji put sastavljaju svoj bend (Mark Maklohlin, alijas Mark Arm i Stiv Tarner), ostavljeni basista kome su prijatelji iz grupe pobegli u Kaliforniju (Met Lukin) i najbolji bubnjar u gradu koji je imao reputaciju, ali ne i angažman (Den Piters). Sa druge strane, izdavači su bili potpuno anonimni tvorci muzičkog fanzina Sub(terranean) Pop (Brus Pavit i Džonatan Pounmen) koji su pasionirano sakupljali nezavisna izdanja. Upravo su bili rešili da i sami nekako doprinesu svojoj kolekciji, kada se Markov i Stivov poslednji akt The Green River raspao čim je album u koji su uložili skoro svu ušteđevinu ugledao svetlost dana. Mudhoney su te 1988. izdali najpre singl „Sweet Young Thing Ain’t Sweet No More / Touch Me I’m Sick“, a odmah zatim i mini album „Superfuzz Bigmuff“ koji u Sijetlu i okolini pokreću pravu muzičku lavinu. Arm i Tarner već tada su znali šta žele da postignu: nonšalantnu nepretencioznost panka, psihodeliju a la Nuggets i divlju neobuzdanost legendarnih The Stooges u kojoj će gitara zvučati jako zaprljano. Ne slutivši koliki će uticaj postići prvi singl i EP nazvan po Tarnerovim omiljenim gitarskim pedalama za „razmazivanje zvuka“, Mark Arm je ovakav efekat glasne gitarske muzike isprva opisivao australijskim pank-rok žargonom „grungy“ i tako nesvesno postao kum grandža. Već 1989. izlaze split singl sa Sonic Youth i dugosvirajući debi jednostavno nazvan „Mudhoney“. Bend kreće na turneju po Americi i Engleskoj, a ’91 stiže i drugi album „Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge“ i postaje instant klasik. Već tada je grandž eksplodirao potpuno poremetivši sve znane šablone muzičke industrije, a zapažena izdanja male etikete Sub Pop ne prolaze ispod radara velikih izdavačkih kuća kojima nije dugo trebalo da umešaju prste u živote najznačajnijih gradskih andergraund bendova i da ih pretvore u planetarne rok zvezde. Mudhoney su odmah razumeli šta se traži zauzvrat: ona zaprljana, „grandži“ gitara od koje je sve počelo trebalo je da se ispegla i ulicka u postprodukciji, a možda i da se izvuče iz struje! Stivu bi već oduzimanje Bigmuffa slomilo srce i svi su se složili da teraju po svom. Pokazalo se da su tada samo zahvaljujući svojoj tvrdoglavosti uspeli da prežive naduvavanje i tragično pucanje grandž balona, a nakon samoubistva prijatelja Kurta Kobejna, svoj prezir spram šrafova u gramzivom mehanizmu velikih igrača u muzičkoj industriji izrazili su u jednoj od svojih najkontroverznijih pesama „Into Yer Shtik“ sa albuma „My Brother The Cow“ iz 1995. Met Lukin je ’99 rešio da se posveti porodici, a zamenio ga je Gaj Medison. Usledile su ploče „Since We've Become Translucent“ (iz 2000. godine), „Under a Billion Suns“ (2006.) i „The Lucky Ones“ (2008).
O tome da im muzika koju vole još uvek nije dosadila govore aktivnosti samo u poslednje dve godine. Izdali su aktuelni, deveti po redu studijski album „Vanishing Point“ (Sub Pop, 2013); svirali su svetsku turneju od Japana i Australije, preko Evrope do Severne i Južne Amerike; na festivalima je sjajno dočekan celovečernji indi dokumentarac o njima „I'm Now: The Story Of Mudhoney“, a u Londonu je objavljena biografija benda „Mudhoney: The Sound And The Fury From Seattle“. Tokom 2014. snimili su čak dva živa albuma: „Live at Third Man Records“ u Nešvilu, na poziv i za izdavačku kuću jednog od poznatijih ljubitelja benda, Džeka Vajta (The White Stripes, Dead Weather), dok je „On Top! KEXP Presents Mudhoney Live on Top of the Space Needle“ odsviran na poziv legendarne radio stanice KEXP na vrhu tornja koji je i simbol Sijetla, a sve glasnije se pominje i novi album. Povrh svega za Record Store Day 2014. objavljuju split singl sa najvećim legendama garažnog roka – The Sonics (Muddy Roots Records)!
Mudhoney 4. juna prvi put sviraju u Srbiji. Na njihove svirke se ne dolazi radi nostalgije. Ovo je bend koji je za skoro tri decenije postojanja uradio, video i isprobao sve što čini život vrhunskih rok muzičara, a ipak uspeo da sačuva lično prijateljstvo, muzički integritet, besprekornu reputaciju, Bigmuff pedalu, impresivnu strast prema živim nastupima i Markov dečački smešak koji je i zaštitni znak benda. Od svega nekoliko izvođača koji su približno toliko ili duže opstali na rokenrol vrtešci, Mudhoney su jedini koje još uvek možete da vidite u klupskoj atmosferi. Ne propustite rok događaj sezone!
Ulaznice su u pretprodaji putem Eventim prodajne mreže i u sledećim etapama: do 30. aprila 1800 din, od 1. do 31. maja 2100, a od 1. juna kao i na sam dan koncerta 2400.

ATP is very excited to announce the third All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Iceland on July 2nd, 3rd & 4th 2015 at Ásbrú - the former NATO base in Keflavík - to be headlined by 1999's original Bowlie Weekender curators Belle & Sebastian.

Dates: The festival takes place on three days - Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July, 2015. The music will run from 7pm to 2am each day (exact times subject to change) with around 30 bands set to play live across the three days.

Location: ATP Iceland will be held at Ásbrú, the former NATO base in Keflavík, Iceland. The former NATO base dates back to 1941 and the last US military personnel left in 2006. The site is located only 5 minutes away from Iceland's main international airport, 15 minutes from the famous Blue Lagoon and 30 minutes from Reykjavík. The festival site will host two indoor stages and a cinema with films picked by ATP and the bands, as well as the usual ATP extracurricular activities like DJs, Pop Quiz and much more. The capacity for the intimate festival is just 5000 people.
