Led Zeppelin Roundup: Backstage and Beyond By now you’ve probably read about what happened onstage during Led Zeppelin’s show last night, but else happened at the concert of the year? For one, Pete Townshend, despite reports to the contrary, did not perform: “I pulled out of the Ahmet Ertegun benefit the day I heard Led Zep were performing,” Townshend wrote on his blog. “They really don’t need me.” Many in the audience probably wished the other openers had taken Townshend’s stance, but they gave a polite reception to the other acts. The show began with a prog-rock supergroup composed of Yes bassist Chris Squire, Yes drummer Alan White, Emerson and Lake and Palmer’s keyboardist Keith Emerson, doing a progged-out version of Aaron Copeland’s “Fanfare For The Common Man.” Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman took the stage next with his longtime group The Rhythm Kings, serving as the house band for the remaining openers. Paul Rodgers performed joined them for “All Right Now” and Foreigner’s Mick Jones came out for “I Want To Know What Love Is.” All of the acts had been signed by the late Atlantic Records co-founder Ertegun, and Robert Plant made sure that the audience didn’t forget it, announcing “Ahmet, we did it!” after Zeppelin performed “Stairway to Heaven.” Backstage at the main gig was one gigantic A-list conclave, featuring Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, David Gilmour, Dave Grohl, Marilyn Manson, Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, Michael J. Fox, Pink, Juliette Lewis, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher and Steve Winwood. After the show, VIP’s headed over to the nearby Club Indigo to check out a post-show featuring soul stars Solomon Burke, Ben E. King, Percy Sledge and Sam Moore. The club was jam packed, and even the most intrepid of reporters didn’t manage to get in. If that weren’t validation enough for Jimmy Page and Robert P

As If The Zeppelin Show Weren’t Awesome Enough, Naomi Campbell Was Also Mugged At It!It sounds like last night's Led Zeppelin reunion had a little something for everyone. If you weren't altogether impressed by the monumental rockness of a legendary band reforming after 30 years, or face-melted by a night's worth of their ass-kicking classics, perhaps would like to know that assistant-abuser and sometimes supermodel Naomi Campbell was mugged during the show. According to a report at Fox News:As the show ended I ran into her coming out of the VIP exit. She was having a fight with one of the security men. As we passed, she announced to me, "Someone stole my handbag. It had two phones in it!"Ohmygod, they got her phones!?! As if the horror of having her belongings stolen weren't bad enough, now she's not even going to have anything to throw at her help in order to cope with her anger at having been mugged! The tragedy is almost Shakespearean.

Vivienne Let One Slip
Vivienne Westwood was enjoying herself at the Hay Festival and let out a semi-secret. Her life is about to become a biopic. The English fashion designer took a large part in punk style and made use of bondage gear in fashion.
Her representative confirmed that the project is in the works, but no other details are available. My guess and the word floating through internet space is that the plot will center around her love of edgy style and Malcolm McLaren, her shop "World's End," and the Sex Pistols. The band played a part in the growth her safety pin and spiked dog collars style movement. Currently Gwen Stefani, Naomi Campbell, Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger are among her clientele. You also might know Vivienne's son Joseph Corre. He is the founder of Agent Provocateur.
Season Finales are all coming to a close, but that hasn't put a stop to theories. Heroes cast questions are popping up for season 2. Or if you are more tuned to the new shows coming check out what the Flying Spaghetti Monster is on the Reality TV Lounge.

My God, There's Two of Them?
One would think it would be hard to convincingly impersonate the six foot Afro-Jamaican Glamazon, but it seems that Naomi Campbell does in fact have a doppelganger running rampant. An imposter is on the loose, crashing parties and lavish events everywhere and has the real Naomi begging hosts and hostesses to keep an eye out for the fake. Brit band Oasis was the latest target of the imposter. She was denied entry by Noel Gallagher himself. Campbell was furious when she learned about the knock-off version of herself, trying to pass off her counterfeit wares as the real thing.
"You gotta find the imposter for me. Who is she, who is she? I can't believe she's masquerading around town as me. I wasn't even in London on Wednesday during the Brits as I was on a modeling shoot in Paris. It's not right."
Shit, Naomi. You should just run with it. Sounds like your clone showed up just in time to be put to good use doing your community service for you.

While You Were Trying Not To Get Mad At A Sickly Nigerian Baby Naomi Campbell made her best "Seeeeee? I'm a good person!" face at a children's hospital in Nigeria. Do they make the "Naomi hit me - and I loved it" t-shirt in a onesie size? (Splendora) Heidi Montag is BFF's with John McCain's daughter, Meghan. I'm not sure if the McCain campaign realizes how incredibly bad of an idea this is. But maybe since Heidi & Spencer had that photo opp at the shooting range, it's a strategy to lock in the NRA vote? (Just Jared) When you read the headline "Rush To Guest On The Colbert Report," don't let your head explode too quickly - it's actually the band Rush, not that deaf homophobic guy. YES! It's tonight, and they will be performing "Tom Sawyer." Really. (TVSquad) Al Reynolds is still in love with Star Jones, despite being divorced and very possibly gay. He took the tone of an eliminated reality show contestant during the interview, saying "I'm a guy who progresses and moves forward. I was successful before I met Star, and I plan to be successful after Star." AMERICA HASN'T SEEN THE LAST OF HIM! (CNN) Gimmicky, awful Jill-Sobule-wannabe Katy Perry said she wants to kiss Miley Cyrus, and do the whole Madonna-Britney kissing thing. I'm not sure what's more offensive about that. Katy being a pedophile or Katy assuming she is as famous as Madonna, Britney, or Miley. (Mollygood)

Clinton Counselor Doug Band Used to Date Naomi Campbell?!??!Bill Clinton and his right-hand Band. Photo: Washington Post.comRemember Doug Band, the mysterious "counselor" of Bill Clinton who introduced him to Raffaello Follieri and hassled restaurateur Nino Selimaj into taking a photo of Chelsea Clinton off the wall of Osso Buco because she was, in his estimation, "not a public figure"? The Washington Post spotted him in the background of that video of Bill Clinton dressing down CNN's Jessica Yellin, and wondered what we wondered some months ago: Who is this guy? Band is the spotlight these days, the paper notes, a fact which he can't be too happy about, not least because the spotlight is apparently shining directly on what the Post describes as his "prematurely thinning hair." There's not a lot in the Post story, which Band doesn't participate in, that we don't already know: He was a White House intern before becoming the president's aide and official mobile-phone carrier; he is married to "handbag designer" Lily Rafii, he's kind of a jerk, or "gruff" as a source tells the Post, and some say this attitude has "enabled" Clinton's recent jerkiness. (Also the Post misses out on some juicy bits, like his association with Jeffrey Epstein and an organization called the "White Boys" that we are dying to know about.) But there are a few nuggets, chief among them the fact that Band apparently dated Naomi Campbell (!?); that he once escorted Monica Lewinsky to a White House ball; and that his brother Roger, a doctor at the University of Pennsylvania, sometimes acts as the traveling physician for Clinton. Incidentally, Roger himself was also sort of unclear on who Band was. "I had no idea what a big deal his job was," he told the Post. "When he took us into the Oval Office, I was like, 'Oh, cool, what, did some guy let you in? Then I saw his name on the speed dial.'" T.H. Gossip Club Watch: Solo Chace Crawford, Diddy, Natalie Portman, Amy Winehouse & More- Chace rollin’ solo style? Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford was spotted hitting up New York nightspot Butter … without a certain someone. While many in the club wondered if his “friend” Carrie Underwood would show up, the young star, sporting a suit and skinny black tie, instead was seen with a different blonde.- At the same club, one of the regulars, Diddy, kept a low profile, then chatted it up with another Butter mainstay, Jay-Z. The hip-hop moguls seemed to enjoy the mix of music (which was, conveniently, heavy on the Jay-Z hits).- Across town, Natalie Portman was seen rocking out at the Band of Thieves concert with a male friend (likely Nathan Bogle) in tow. “It looked like they were roaming around the East Village and wanted to hear some new music,” says an onlooker. - As her beleaguered European tour rolls on, a still-living Amy Winehouse took a pre-concert cruise around the tattoo parlors of Paris’ Pigalle neighborhood with hubby Blake Fielder-Civil. The couple gawked at the Moulin Rouge cabaret and shared a kiss before making a stop at the L’Académie des Billiards.- In Berlin to film the thriller The International, Naomi Watts stepped out with Liev Schreiber for supper at Sagrantino wine bar. Bor-ring.- Okay, so this isn’t exactly club news (or club news at all), but we love Mary-Louise Parker, who was seen working out with her trainer at Equinox in New York. They were doing weight training and work with a yoga ball. According to an onlooker, the actress “looked stunning… even in her gym clothes and no makeup.”

Happy Birthday, Paris
I have spent the last five minutes trying to figure out how I feel about this picture, which is from the invitations to Paris' 26th birthday. Would I be into a party like that? If I received this in the mail, would I be excited or annoyed with Paris for taking such a dumb picture? Would I go to the party, anyway?
There are too many questions
I guess this is neither here nor there because the party didn't live up to the high hopes that the picture may have inspired, which makes me really glad I didn't go.
According to Page Six:
HOLLYWOOD A-listers shunned celebutard Paris Hilton's 26th birthday in Las Vegas in favor of hanging out in New York for Untitled Entertainment founder Jason Weinberg's 40th birthday at Midtown hot spot The Grand on Friday night. The power player toasted his big day with close friends Clive Davis, Kanye West, Marissa Tomei, Amy Sacco and Naomi Watts. Weinberg even had his "Happy Birthday" sung to him by Blondie legend Debbie Harry. Meanwhile, Hilton held her party at Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas, but the bash turned out to be more of a bust. "There were no names there except for [sister] Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie," said our source. But even without many boldfaces, things at the after-party at the Penthouse Suite got a little odd. After downing TY KU liquor and bottles of Dom Perignon, guests reported seeing Hilton play with a monkey while a band of midgets led a pack of goats around the room.
We love it when celebrity birthdays digress into cheap circuses. It's almost as if Paris had the party just so that last sentence could be written.
