Nickelback Album: “Live from Sturgis”

Just want to state that im a big nickelback fan , I have seen them live twice and have been to sturgis in 2004. My BIG dissapointment with this dvd is that it is edited .This dvd should have been put out as a disney release and does not represent nickelbacks music or sturgis. There is nothing more annoying than a BEEEP in the middle of the song or black blocks covering the crowd when the camera man picks up something a five year old shouldnt see .Wouldnt it be better to show the concert the way it was presented to the crowd and rate the dvd as 18or older. I also feel that the song list should have been longer,and truly hope this is simply not a money grab by the band or their management.

A great blu ray release which could have been better if more songs were included and more music video added as bonus material. This blu ray release is completely uncencored. Overall a great rock concert on blu ray.

I bought this blu-ray from Amazon and it is not censored. So while my blu-ray is definitely uncensored, it seems that the DVD has two versions, one uncensored and one censored.

Anyway, I think the concert was great. I saw a few women without their tops, but it was no big deal. It's the equivalent of a National Geographic magazine about native peoples. You see pictures of native women in Africa or on the Pacific islands, and they are dancing without wearing anything on top. It's the same thing in the upper Great Plains of America, you're just watching a few native women dancing without wearing anything on top. It's nothing to get excited or all riled about. They are just mostly background shots of people dancing and having fun and there are only a very few images. I don't recall any suggestiveness beyond dancing and moving to the music.

I liked "Far Away" and "Photograph". As I was working on this review the song "Photograph" came on the radio. This is a really cool song. On the concert, images of people brought forth memories from the band's past.

What I could do without, though, was a few of the expletives coming from the mouth of Nickelback. Just sing the songs please.

If you are a Nickelback fan, get this concert. It's quite enjoyable to watch this young group play.

I enjoyed the just over one hour of material presented. The concert was well played out by the band. However this was viewed on Blu Ray so I expected the highest production values to be used. While a plethora of camera's have been used I can safely assume that many were not HD quality . Most of the drummers shots and and the reverse angle shots where you see the audience from the stage viewpoint were very grainy. The camera's have been obviously gained to compensate for the low light conditions. The video on all the frontal shots of the stage were good, so I just wish the producers avoided the grainy footage as this tended to stick out. The audio quality on the 5.1 slection was very good. The sound mix was well balanced and had the required crispness and clarity to make the audio track really superb.

I gave it 4 stars because this is a slightly technical matter and overall most viewers would enjoy the recording.

Depends on which vendor you buy this from if it is censored format or not!! I bought my copy from Amazon and it clearly says at top UNRATED.So those that are complaining about it being censored LEARN TO READ!! I bought this for the band NOT for biker chicks boobs and it is a great concert performance by Nickleback.You won't be disappointed with picture 1080p or sound dts 5.1 audio UNCOMPRESSED.
