Análisis (en inglés) - :
{$Nirvana}'s rather unceremoniously named {^Box} gathers their debut {^Bleach} and the odds'n'sods collection {^Incesticide} into a two-disc set. Together, these albums paint a fairly comprehensive portrait of the band's formative years, touching on their sludgy, metallic, experimental, and poppy sides as they learned to combine these aspects more cohesively. Though {^Bleach} is arguably the more focused album, with {&"Blew,"} {&"Negative Creep,"} and {&"Love Buzz"} blending the group's sonic fury with an emerging sense of melody, and {&"About a Girl"} showcasing {$Kurt Cobain}'s growing songwriting powers, {^Incesticide} is still more interesting and listenable. Spanning the childhood angst of {&"Sliver"} and {&"Dive"}'s churning nihilism; the poppy {$Vaselines} covers {&"Molly's Lips"} and {&"Son of a Gun"}; and {&"Aneurysm,"} a song that rivals or surpasses anything that made it onto {^Nevermind} or {^In Utero}, {^Incesticide} remains a great document of {$Nirvana}'s surprising versatility. While most {$Nirvana} fans probably own both {^Bleach} and {^Incesticide} separately, {^Box} offers a convenient way for those who don't to round out their collections. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
