taxi doll - a little more lovegood morning! out of the many music email pitches sent to me on a daily basis - i recently came across los angeles based band taxi doll (join them on myspace) i immediately dug their vibe which is a bit of no doubt and blondie mixed with a sprinkle of goldfrapp - i hate comparisons like that but it makes for an easy way to describe their sound which is a bit more pop rock than electro (they call it 'rocktronica') the band has been around since 2004 and eventually were signed to universal records - now their debut album here and now is due out later this month (february 23rd) i thought they were a perfect fit for my 'monday .mp3' column - so below is one of their tracks called a little more love available for download plus there's a video for waiting which is a club hit you might recognize (here's a remix of that song) popbytes over & out for now...xoxo » listen to taxi doll's a little more love (.mp3 6.1mb)

welcome zuma nesta rock rossdale!good evening! finally my darling gwen stefani gave birth to her second child (didn't that seem like the longest pregnancy ever?) gwen had a baby boy weighing in at 8.5lbs named zuma nesta rock rossdale here in los angeles at 12:46pm via a scheduled c-section! although i adore ms. stefani and her sexy hubby gavin rossdale - i must say that's hands down one of the worst celebrity baby names ever (it makes gwyneth paltrow's daughter seem apple martin completely normal) i suggest just calling him 'rocky' as a nickname - maybe 'zuma' is a reference to zuma beach up in malibu (perhaps where the little guy was conceived? i have zero clue what 'nesta' could mean - that's the worst part of the name) i'm thrilled for all parties involved but i was crossing my fingers she'd have a little girl the second time around (her first born kingston james mcgregor rossdale turned 2 in may) i'm quite sure she'll be having more children (she needs a to have a girl) but i seriously pray girlfriend can take a small break from baby making to get back in the studio with her band no doubt - i've been dying to hear new material (along with my pal bree) from them for what seems like ages now! popbytes over & out for now...xxoo PHOTO | WENN
