Noisettes concerts 2025/2026

HowTheLightGetsIn, the world's largest philosophy and music festival, is back for 2015. There's a whole host of exhilarating new stages and surprises in store, as well as the thought-provoking debates and legendary parties you've come to expect.

This year’s music line-up features "heartachingly real and raw" vocals from 2012 iTunes Album of the Year winner Lianne La Havas, dubbed "the closest thing Britain has got to Alicia Keys" by The Guardian. You can dance the night away with fiery pop duo Noisettes, who've forged a reputation as "one of the rowdiest live acts in London" (Rolling Stone) since their catchy, download chart topping single 'Don't Upset the Rhythm'. And discover the famed support act of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh, described as a "breath of fresh air" by Time Out.

Our programme of debates and talks will tackle this year's theme of 'Fantasy and Reality'. In our postmodern and often virtual world, has the real become a mirage created from fantasies? Which current fantasies will become tomorrow's reality?

Find out How Men and Women Think as our distinguished panel debates whether mental differences between the sexes are real, or simply sexism dressed up as science. Question whether Everything We Know Is Wrong as we challenge a scientist, a philosopher and a former government minister to examine our belief in science given that recent studies have demonstrated that 90% of scientific findings are wrong. And listen to best-selling philosopher Terry Eagleton's talk on The Death of God and the War on Terror.

Last year our programme included over 450 events and 35,000 people came to our festival site in Hay-on-Wye to see speakers such as Owen Jones, Marcus Brigstocke, Beatrix Campbell, Joanna Kavenna and many, many more. Our parties have been presided over by the likes of Kate Tempest, Clean Bandit and internationally-acclaimed composer Michael Nyman.
