- Find It If You Can...

"Overture," a four-track EP was released by MCA prior to the release of Nonpoint's second album, "Development." You could look at it as either an EP like it's advertised, or as a single for "Your Signs" (the lead-off single from the album). Either way, it's quite a little treat for any Nonpoint fan who can find it. Aside from the previously mentioned song, "Overture" delivers two old-school Nonpoint tracks: "No Say" and "Senses" and an acoustic version of their signature song, "What A Day." Now, despite the fact that you can now find "No Say" and "Senses" on the "Seperate Yourself" disc being sold on their website and at their shows, it's still a pleasure to hear the band's old material, circa 1998. These songs show that the band found their sound very quickly, as the quality of these songs holds up well to even their most recent material. The acoustic version of "What A Day," however, is the real treat. Who would have imagined this song performed acoustic? Until I found this, not I. Personally, I can never get enough of this somewhat humorous song, and the acoustic version is just another great way to enjoy it. So, unless you already have "Seperate Yourself" and the acoustic track, "Overture" is a cool little EP that the Nonpoint completist should have filed in their collection.
