- Oceansize - a beautiful evolutionary progress

Beautiful music by one of the best group of musical geniuses of our time. Staying true to their typical incomparable form, Oceansize's 4th full length effort is nothing short of excellent. Anxiously awaiting the chance to see these fellas live (in the US, unless I win the lottery).

- Not my favorite oceansize CD, but it's worth getting

A lot of the material feels like it is just alternate tracks from Frames. I think Effloresence is really their best overall album. They have obviously tried very hard to have a very unique sound but with it they have left out some of the most basic appeal to their music by trying to be artistic more than just kicking a$$. As a drummer, I enjoy the creativity their rhythm section demonstrates on their newer material but I also feel that Oceansize's songs lack groove and the songs never really pull you in or reach a point of climax or release because they are so busy avoiding playing a backbeat.

That being said, Oceansize is still one of the best rock/progressive bands out there. I look forward to another album from them in the years to come hoping they decide to go back to basics a little more.

3.5 stars.

- An amazing album

Oceansize's fourth album is really worth it. It has a perfect contrast of heavy/intense/powerful songs and soft/mellow/beautiful tunes... It's awesome. I can't say anything else.

Just buy it and have a nice time listening to some good music, =)

- Excelente!
