Oomph! Album: “Truth or Dare”

Being a true fan of the rougher-sounding German lyrics, I admit I was set to cringe the first time thru listening to Truth or Dare, but I was pleasantly surprised! And the acid test (and my reason for adding a star to make it a 5-star review) was in catching my husband singing along to the English versions, something he apparently felt left out of with the originals...so I definitely think this album has merit for potential fans who might otherwise be put off by not understanding the German language.

I agree that the song Ready or Not just doesn't stand up to the original, but Labyrinth, Wake Up and Burning Desire absolutely kick @ss. Totally worth buying if you like dark hard rock with driving beats - and once Dero's voice draws you in, digging into the older German stuff from Oomph! will feed your addiction. Check it out!!

These guys rock! I would love to learn German so I could hear it in the natural language, but hearing in English is amazing as well!!!

I Love OOMPH!. what can I say. English or German, the music rocks. If you love Rammstien, this is the group for you. They are the ones who inspired Rammstien. The accent does the songs perfectly. Dero is amazing. BUY THIS!! Then Buy their german versions of the songs. You will love it more!

BRING OOMPH! TO THE U.S.!!!

I first heard Oomph's songs in German, but Dero, the lead singer has a voice that conveys the same energetic yet macabre feel of the songs in English as well. Now when I listen to either version, I sing in half english half german. :)

I LOVE this album! It is the first all English CD, with the original Oomph! feel.
