This work, from the laureated cuban trio Orishas, is the poorest of all. Maybe not lyrically, but musically. Faraway from the traditional cuban music, they embrace a proposal that does not curdled. Plagued by primary bases, only worthy to a hip hop infant, makes the album painful and unbearable from time to time. I can only find a few good songs as "Machete" and "Mirame". Definitely a page they should turn soon.
I love Orishas so maybe I am biased, but this disc had a great sound and I love listening to it!
They never seize to amaze me. The album was awesome! I wish they'd perform in my little part of the world.
Their previous albums, although contained a lot of quotes from Nyrican music of 1970/80th, were pretty authentic. This album presents a different sound many bands introduce.
