Parkway Drive will be touring Australia throughout September and October for the IRE Australian tour. Joining them are special guests Suicide Silence, Memphis May Fire and The Word Alive.

The video for the first single Vice Grip is the most intense video to date. Featuring the band members risking their lives by committing themselves to jumping out of aeroplanes. It’s fitting that the video for the first single from Parkway Drive’s highly anticipated fifth album, Ire, features band members risking their lives.

To fully realise the concept for the “Vice Grip” video, Parkway members committed themselves to jumping out of aeroplanes, and the results are totally mindblowing.

In a way these demonstrations of risk-taking, of showing no fear, and of acquiring new skills could be a metaphor for the entire creation of Ire. Parkway Drive has taken a stunning creative leap, and produced what they consider to be a career-defining statement.

“This is the album for us,” says Winston. “Every single step of the way, whenever there was gamble to take, we took the biggest one we could. If this isn’t the album that can go further than anything we thought was possible with this band and this type of music, that’s fine, but we can’t go back from this as far as we’re concerned.”

Parkway Drive på stor Europaturné!
Australiensiska Parkway Drive släpper sitt femte album, ”Ire”, den 25 september och efter det åker man ut på en stor turné i Europa, där man spelar på större arenor än någonsin tidigare. Den 27 januari kommer man till just Arenan på Fryshuset i Stockholm!

Metalcore-bandet är med sitt femte album mer aktuella än någonsin och nyligen släppte man en extrem (på många sätt) video till singeln ”Vice Grip”, där bandet själva gör stunts och bjuder på högoktanig och dieseldoftande action. Videon är också en symbol för skapandet av albumet ”Ire”, en uppföljare till ”Atlas” från 2012 som sålde guld i Australien. Sedan dess har Parkway Drive tagit ett stort kreativt steg framåt och nu vågar man ta risker mer än någonsin förut, något som har blivit ett slags signum för bandet.

Laat er geen twijfel over bestaan: Parkway Drive is de allergrootste metalcore band die het genre ooit heeft voortgebracht. Debuut ‘Killing With A Smile’ wordt terecht als een klassieker gezien, maar eigenlijk heeft de band hierna alleen maar sterke platen uitgebracht. Met ongelooflijk zware breakdowns, meeschreeuwbare refreinen en rauwe vocalen is Parkway Drive altijd herkenbaar gebleven in een overvol genre. Daar komt nog bij dat Parkway Drive door bijna constant te touren een enorm strakke liveband is geworden. De band brengt in 2015 een nieuw album uit genaamd 'Ire', wat met 'Vice Grip' alvast een nieuwe anthem heeft opgeleverd.
