- Detroit loves Pearl Jam and Pearl Jam loves Detroit
For some reason, unknown to me at this time, Pearl Jam rocks extra hard in Detroit. The phrase "Detroit Rock City" is very appropriate whenever they come to town. Some extra energy is mustered or something must be on their minds as they hit the stage, for twice now I have seen them just tear Detroit up and its a feat to behold. The venue (Palace of Auburn Hills) in Detroit is no more or no less a venue as compared to any major arena, but somehow that crowd, or the sound, or the vibe those shows provide really feed a lot into the band, and, as with the 1998 Yield tour, a 19 song set with 6 song encore is a feat of rock brilliance. Although the "mullet" cutting of a roadie's hair from the Yield tour could never be topped, the fellas prove the music it what really matters. Detroit, somehow, is a better place when Pearl Jam visits, and thier shows will go down as, by far, some of the best rock concerts the city has ever seen. Listen to the "Encore Break" track and the sheer volume and intensity of the crowd will send chills down your spine. This recording captures that essence. If faced with the many choices from the 2000 tour, Detroit must be chosen as one of, if not the best, show of the tour.

- Outstanding!!! A must-have!
I was lucky enough to be in the front row at this show, so of course I had to get the cd to commemorate the occasion. I agree with the review below that this is the best "SOLAT" of the tour, and also one of the best "RVM" I've ever heard anywhere. Also a few funny moments between songs, like the "Esther sign" and the apology for the screw up during "Nothing As It Seems." The energy at this show was intense, and the crowd was one of the best of the many PJ shows I've been to (thanks to everyone there for a great night!). If you're only going to buy a few of the live cds, by all means put this one on your list. Also recommended: Chicago, Seattle 2, Milan, Ljublana, Jones 3, Boston 2, and Vegas.

- Sing with me
Best State of love and trust on the tour. (but not better that Atlanta 94)Pearl Jam is an amazing band with amazing qualities. I don't think any other band could have done this in the same beautiful way.
This one, Chicago, Jones 3, San Francisco, Philly 1 and 2, St. Louise, Pittsburgh and Milan are the one's to get. I have bought them all. 1-72. Don't think I'll ever regret I did.

As many of the other reviewers have written, this is one of the best from the entire '00 tour. High energy, lots of fun, and short but sweet. I actually like that this cd only has 25 songs. It ends at exactly the right time, on an awesome note. Instead of the crowd pleasing closer "Yellow Ledbetter", this one ends with "F**kin' Up" by Neil Young dedicated to a former Detroit Piston.....Easily a top ten performace from the tour, and one of the bands favorites as well (look for the evolution man on the back).

- great performance by band, but Ed's voice weak
I own only three of these bootlegs - Philadelphia 1, Washington and this one. I have mixed feelings about this one because while the rest of the band gives one of its best performances of the tour, Ed's voice is weak, and it shows. That's not to say he's not trying, not at all. It's clear he's giving it his all, but he sounds tired and his voice sounds like it wants to go home. I'll agree that this is an energetic performance, but when it comes to Ed it's like he's blowing his hardest through a broken kazoo. I know all I've done here is talk about how poor Ed's performance is, but again, I'm not saying it's his fault. I was just disappointed after hearing the other concerts (which are great, esp. Philly) and then hearing this one. Anyway, that's just my opinion.
