- Creative, easy tribute

This unpretentious album is a delight. All the complexity of the Floyd we know is decompressed into a simpler world, full of its own nuances, its own new discoveries.

This is not a "sounds like Floyd" album. Why bother buying sound-alike Tribute albums when you can listen to the originals which are always so much better? But, at the core, these are our Floydian tunes, freshly done.

In addition to the great songs, this album includes a couple of the lesser known tunes: Cymbaline and Stay. The vocalists are particularly keen on style in Money, which normally is very stale in tribute albums. There is a nice effect in the rendition of Wish You Were Here.

This album has a way of being listenable over and over again.

- Misplaced Talent

If you like contemporary female vocalists who all try to sound like each other, you might love this cd. However, if that's what you love, I'm not sure that you'll be looking for renditions of Pink Floyd songs. This is why I say misplaced.

I can't tell much difference between each singer. They all have that sultry "across the sheets at ya" voice. At least they could have let one try her cords on The Great Gig In The Sky, and we'd know if she has a convincing moan. I'm thinkin' red-neck bar material while the boys shoot pool and the chicks discuss their next tattoo. But Pink Floyd? Please, let's just agree to be us and them!

And yes, I have about 10 different PF tribute cds, and that's counting only as one the tribute cd which has been reissued under a dozen different cover pictures. Most are well worth a decent price. If you want a "fresh" rendition, PF is one band which has produced many awesome live recordings. Try: Delicate Sound Of Thunder and Pulse and some amazing bootleg concert cds.

- Interesting Album

Really nothing bad, if you want to buy a good Pink Floyd tribute album. Try also the "Pigs And Piramids: Tribute" ASIN: B00006JQUU. These are the only two Tributes that I recommend.

- PF done differently....

Truley great adaptations of PF done with female vocals and accoustic guitars. Really great listening of PF tunes done with all the soul and moods of the writers. These songs should be played by someone on the radio. Expect a different slant to great tunes done very, very well.

- ..Not that good!!

It's kinda waste of money...maybe it's a bit good for the first couple of times, however don't be fooled by the samples that are on.
