Alison Lohman To Femme-Up Sam Raimi's 'Drag Me To Hell' [Trade Roundup]· Alison Lohman has taken the lead in Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell, a role recently vacated by increasingly picky Friend of K.D. Ellen Page. [Variety] · Hollywood EmploymentWatch: Unlike shitcanning-happy The CW, TNT is beefing up its original programming, with a goal of launching "all-original Monday-Wednesday primetime lineup by 2010." [Variety] · The Weinstein Co. optioned Rita Marley's autobiography No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley for a screen treatment set for a 2009 release. Cate Blanchett is in talks to play both halves of this moving, musical love story, as well as a young Ziggy. (We now acknowledge that the hacky "Cate Blanchett can play anything" jokes were pretty much put to rest at the Oscars, and move on.) [Variety] · The Genies, aka The Oscars of the North™, give Sarah Polley's Away From Her and David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises seven trophies each, worth far more on the open awards market now that the U.S. economy is in the shitter. [THR] · CBS picked up a "cast-contingent order" of Single White Millionaire, a sitcom pilot from Family Guy writer Ricky Blitt about "an unassuming millionaire in his thirties who is ready to settle down." No word on who they're eyeing for the lead, but may we offer up Fat K-Fed? Think about it for a second: It's kind of perfect. [THR]

Sarah Silverman's London Blitz: Did She Bomb Or Not? [Exports]If you believe what you read in the papers, Sarah Silverman's first full-length performance in the U.K. last night was a disaster unbefitting the Matt Damon-Fucking Jewess Queen of Hollywood. The BBC reports the crowd of 3600 at London's Hammersmith Apollo—who had paid somewhere in the vicinity of $70-$100 a seat for the privilege of hearing Silverman's fishy-smelling-gym-shorts stories—"slow hand clapped and shouted they wanted their money back" at the end of a 40-minute mini-set, then heckled "you're over-hyped Sarah" and "I've seen longer clips on YouTube" until she came back out for an encore. Appropriately enough, we have YouTube video of said encore, and it suggests Silverman wasn't quite as reviled by the inquisitive Limeys as the reviews suggest. It's after the jump. You won't be able to hear much of what Silverman is singing, or the audience is shouting, but the sheer volume and frequency of the laughter suggests, to us at least, that the blatant anti-Silvermanism in the auditorium wasn't nearly as virulent as in the reports. Still, 40 minutes for a hundred bucks' worth of U.S.-made baby-harvesting jokes, we suppose, would sour our salad cream too. Bonus video: Silverman also appeared on Jonathan Ross's talk show Friday night. The Daily Mail reported she "bombed" there, too, but we watched the appearance and found her pretty funny—particularly in the following clip, in which she fondles a giant, two-dimensional Ricky Gervais, then gets accused of having "hairy tits." newVideoPlayer("/Silverman_Hairy_Tits.flv", 506, 423,""); Silverman heckled at London gig [BBC] Sarah Silverman Encore London [YouTube]

![Foto: In the Battle of the British Funnymen, Simon Pegg Calls Ricky Gervais a 'Fat Idiot' [Pick Your Side]](http://imagecache03.pixsy.com/10-01-2008/b1/b1cb1255-c760-47ab-a178-6cbc77edc79f.jpg)
In the Battle of the British Funnymen, Simon Pegg Calls Ricky Gervais a 'Fat Idiot' [Pick Your Side]In the annals of celebrity feuds, we tend to prefer the light-hearted frivolity of a Seth Green/Shia LeBeouf dustup to the knock-down, "no one gets away unscathed" fights like Alec Baldwin on Greg Garcia. That's why we're so stymied by the latest and most unlikely entry in the feud genre: the war of words between Shaun of the Dead star Simon Pegg and Ricky Gervais, the Emmy-honored creator of Extras and The Office. So far, the battle (instigated by Pegg's mouthy appearance on a British radio show) is one-sided, but we fear a rebuttal from Gervais could embroil both talented comedians in a zero-sum rivalry. The Telegraph has the scoop: While promoting his new film, How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, Pegg was asked if he, like Gervais, felt under pressure from the LA lifestyle. Pegg, 38, said: "He says a lot of things, that man. "He said there'd been no good British films since 1950. What an idiot. If you go to LA, you can get sucked into that. "I've seen people go there and suddenly become rake-thin because there is a slight pressure on you to be thin. "I've seen a lot of fat people there." Jamie Theakston, who was interviewing Pegg for a radio show commented that Gervais was apparently not receiving that kind of pressure. Pegg said: "He's one of the fat people in LA, yes." Simon, picking on Ricky Gervais will get you nowhere — just ask Joan Rivers! As fans of both actors, we're reluctant to pick sides, but we can't help but think Pegg has made a crucial mistake. Though we loved Simon in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, we're pretty sure that after this fight, that Oscar for Run, Fatboy, Run just got a whole lot more unlikely.
