News Ticker: Nine Inch Nails, Jermaine Dupri, Michael Jackson and People’s Choice AwardsPhoto: Miller/FilmMagic Nine Inch Nail’s newest “gift” for fans: Over 400 gigabytes of uncut, HD-quality concert footage that tech-savvy fans can edit and assemble to form their own concert video. The footage, which is available on bit torrent, was filmed during the Portland, Sacramento and Victoria, BC concerts of the band’s recent Lights in the Sky tour. The fans are already hard at work. Producer Jermaine Dupri is reportedly out as President of Island Records’ Urban Division. Dupri held the post for nearly two years, overseeing hit albums like Mariah Carey’s The Emancipation of Mimi. The termination, which is expected to be announced today, is supposedly effective immediately. Michael Jackson’s spokesperson said the King of Pop is moving back to Los Angeles in order to be “where all the action is.” Jacko returned to California in style, leasing out “one of the most expensive houses listed for sale last year” in the Bel Air area. Despite reports that Jackson may be gravely ill, Jackson’s spokesperson reiterates that the singer is “well” and considering various projects. Kid Rock, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Chris Brown were among the artists who picked up People’s Choice Awards during last night’s Queen Latifah-hosted ceremony.

News Ticker: Madonna, Lil Wayne, Carrie Underwood and Eddie Van HalenPhoto: Getty Madonna denies the $75 million divorce-settlement figure her publicist confirmed this week. “A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week. The financial details of the settlement will remain private,” Madonna said in a statement. Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records have been sued for copyright infringement after they sampled Karma-Ann Swanepoel’s “Once” for Weezy’s “I Feel Like Dying,” despite failing to negotiate a license to use the sample. Carrie Underwood will perform at the People’s Choice Awards on January 7th. Queen Latifah will host the 35th annual ceremony in Los Angeles. Eddie Van Halen and Fender are launching a new line of guitars, the EVH Wolfgang, which Van Halen “road-tested” during the band’s recent tour. “I do this because a lot of people ask if they can get what I use. Well, yes you can and what you get is identical to what I use,” Van Halen said.
