Morello Wants Rage-Like Voice Back in Music, Marilyn Manson’s Watercolors Hit The Road and More
According to Tom Morello, there is no full-scale Rage reunion on the agenda, but he said he understands the need for one. “These times, I think, demand a voice like Rage Against the Machine to return,” Morello told Billboard. “Rage was certainly the most outspoken radical voice in music in the ’90s, and the seven years that Rage was away the country went to hell. So I think it’s overdue that we’re back.” Sounds like reunion talk to us. Who wants to see Marilyn Manson’s watercolors? Well for those non-L.A. residents who’ve need to view Manson’s paintings in the flesh, apparently they will be traveling to Fort Myers, Florida. It’s all very exciting. Oh hurrah, the Black Crowes are back in the studio. According to the NME, the Robinsons are working on the album with producer Paul Stacey in both New York and L.A. The album will be their first in (a blissfully Crowes-free) six years. Billboard reports that Tapes ‘n Tapes have plans to record their second album this summer. Apparently the band is planning to totally reinvent themselves on this album. Okay not really. “It’s pretty much the same group of guys,” frontman Josh Grier said. “But I’m sure there’s going to be, at least for us, a song writing growth.” The Hold Steady are doing a small-ish North American tour in May. We are excited about this, as well as about the band’s recently announced forthcoming EP, Live at Fingerprints, out April 17th. Dates after the jump.
