Red Snapper improving says NOAA report
A new report released by NOAA says red snapper remains in the "overfished" category in the Gulf of Mexico. But the report says the numbers of snapper are improving and it could be removed from that designation very soon. Red snapper are among the most sought-after fish in the gulf. Current recreational limits in Mississippi are two fish per person with a 16 inch minimum size.
