- Thats what I am talkin about!

Okay boys and girls past the age of 35, this is it. The same fun we had with Elton John, Sweet etc.. Funky British rock. If you don't feel good after hearing take your mama out I don't think there is much hope for you. I blew my teenage sons out of the den when I played this one real loud. Give it a try. I don't think you will be dissappointed. (if you are you take life much too seriously)

- Scissorhood Rules

A few people seem to hate this reworking of Pink Floyd's song, but it is a perfect update. Disco and a song about drug use. It's hysterically ironic and amazingly done. These guys are the best musicians to come around in a LOOOOOONG time

- Complete genius!!!!!!!

This is the first track from the remixing group known as Scissor Sisters and it is a work of complete genius. Coming off their steller remixes of "Good Boys" for Blondie and "Flamboyant" by Pet Shop Boys I decided to try their single for myself. It is a dance remake of the totally boring Pink Floyd. This version has a male/female falsetto vocal and reminds me of "Supernature" by Cerrone in that it is genderbending dance music at it's best. The last two mixes:Paper Faces and Hughes & Spier are mostly vocal dubs but tooooo good. The best mix for me is the Fatboy Slim mix. Excellent and full vocals. The listing is:

1- Album Mix(4:25)

2- Fatboy Slim Extended Mix (5:01)

3- Paper Faces Mix(8:25)

4- Hughes & Spier Mix(6:58)

The full cd is also really good. Hopefully Scissor Sisters will continued to put out great music for themselves and remixes for others. A++++++++ .

- cool idea, but fails to deliver

it's as though the bee gees and the pointer sisters got together to cover this classic track, and although it's weird, and i like weird, it just doesn't grab me. and unsurprisingly, the fatboy slim remix is uninspired. it's worth buying if you're a collector of bizarre covers (which is why i got it), but if you're looking for quality glam (non-disco variety), my vote goes to 'the darkness': _permission to land_, especially the tracks "growing on me" and "i believe in a thing called love".

- worth a download

Disco is terrible, and trying to cover the best band ever with very gay disco beats is abominable. It will please gays and hipsters, but that's about it. Chorus almost unlistenable, unless you happen to like the Bee Gees (shudder). I will give it merits for fantastic production value, but of all the annoying remixes, none comes close to being as good as the timeless Floyd classic.
