Disco de Scissor Sisters: “Remixed!”

I Love this album, they did a great job remixing their songs and 2 b-sides. Electrobix wich talks about being gay and feeling weird and The Skins which talks about cheating on someone via internet. The remixes are great especially the FILTHY/GORGEOUS remix!

Dance albums are always an iffy prospect. Unless the songs were originally released as "dance" versions (as many songs were in the 70's and 80's by a variety of singers and groups still mostly only known by patrons of the former discos) you're really looking at extended versions of songs created solely for the dance market based on their FM or AM market play. Some albums do well in this venue. Some do not.

Scissor Sisters Remixed does well. I'm a huge fan of their music and I think that were this group to have started up twenty years ago they would have been a staple in all the discos during the 80's as well as a hugely popular group on MTV. In concert this group is phenomenal! This Remix album allows some producers to have some fun with SS's already fun music.

If you've already got their original regular issue CD and wish for more, then you'll want to get this album. The songs are still there, remixed and funked up and new waved out in places. I still prefer the original, but I sure enjoy listening to these cuts as well.

This remix compilation features some rare and obscure and previously unavailable material from one of my favorite Glam Rock Pop Bands.

Scissor Sisters are not only a talented band, but they're also fearless champions for equality and tolerance! Rednecks need not apply. Get this album or you're a bigot!
