How this (vinyl) album rocked me through my college years. I believe I was the only one who had it in 1980. Mine has a different cover (scorpion on a woman's thigh). Scorps got no airplay then. This is a cult classic along with UFO's Strangers in the Night. Schenker Brothers Rock!
I honestly think that true Scorpions fans should own this album. It is the best of the Scorpions RCA years, which is, in translation, the best of their 1970s material.
It's great to hear songs like 'Hell Cat' and 'Pictured Life' again, but it's just too bad they don't reissue the '70s studio albums for the American audience.
This set spans all of their significant songs of their 1970s years. The humorous 'He's A Woman, She's A Man,' 'Dark Lady' and 'The Sails of Charon' all represent the Scorpions perfectly.
Of course, in 1979, Uli Roth left the Scorps, and the group instantly moved from RCA to Mercury Records. And that's where this comp stops.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable set, and if you like the Scorps as much as I do, than you'll get some great listens out of this.
Highly recommended for any Scorps fan. A great set to own if you are a die-hard fan. ENJOY!!!
I had the vynil album but right now i want it in CD, where can i find it???????
I think Scorpions are the band with the most samplers in rock history! Why another one? OK, the songs are ofcourse good, but this is an 'no-need' release. Believe me, I am a big fan... Two stars, because the songs are ok.
