Disco de She & Him: “In the Sun”

I'm surprised that no one else has reviewed this album yet. Both songs are lovely(although you're probably a bit tired of "In The Sun" if you are a She & Him junkie). Believe it or not, even though I am a Beach Boys fan, S & H's cover version of "I Can Hear Music" has this delightful slower rhythm that seems more appropriate for the mood of this song. I could listen to this on repeat for hours and never get bored with it.

Please note the photo is not accurate as the record has the small hole like a 33rpm record. So if you want this to play in your Jukebox you will have to use a dinker or tool to cut the center out to the standard large 45rpm spindle hole.

if the picture shown still has the traditional 45rpm hole; DON'T be misled. It has the small hole. I bought it for a jukebox that it won't play in. Amazon has promised to correct it but just in case...

As to the songs, the A side will be on the forthcoming album so the record has appeal primarily for the non-lp B side. It's a retreaded song but this is a very good version. Is it worth six bucks for that? You're choice. I like the duo but they need to move M. Ward more to the forefront. Even when I saw them live, he was too subdued.

Like already mentioned in previous reviews, the record is probably an import and had a small hole, useless on most jukeboxes. Although some on the site show the small hole, I specifically ordered from a picture that shows a large hole. But got the small hole. And I like the song after I heard it on the second album and thought it would be good on one of my jukeboxes.

Amazon, remove the picture of the record with the large hole.
