- Amazing.. completely amazing!

I've never gotten the chance to see Silverchair in concert, sadly. So this was an exciting experience for me. I oreded the DVDs for Christmas. The night I got them, I sat in my room watching in amazment.

The first act, the more colorful act, opens with "After All These Years". Johns does a wonderful job at recreating this song in a live enviroment. There are uplifting moments, like with "Luv Your Life" then there are more hardhitting moments, like "Ana's Song" which is followed by "Miss You Love". I don't want to give away key highlights, because any diehard SC fan wouldn't want that spoiled for them, but the first act is a good one. (Before you move on to Disk 2, be sure to check out the bonus performance of "Emotion Sickness".. it will blow you away.)

Act 2.. quite a good one. Beautiful performance of "Black Tangled Heart", awesome performance of "Israel's Son", among many many others. Not to mention, kick ass performances of "Anthem..", "Freak", and "The Door".

To sum it all up simply: I knew these boys were talented.. but DAMN!

If you want to see people get so lost in the music they are playing, and get taken away with them, get this set. They love what they do, they feed off of crowd energy, they are the embodiment of what rock music should be. Daniel makes love to his guitar when he plays, Ben puts his heart and soul into his drums, and Chris has so much fun up there with his bass.

Die hard fans..order this. Rock fans, give it a chance, it's well worth it.

- Disc skips/clicks

First off, let me say that I LOVE Silverchair and the material on this album is SUPERB! All the songs are performed with enthusiasm and it's an all-around great time. I just got my disc yesterday and listening to it for the first time in the CD player, I noticed that some of the songs have "clicking"/skipping in them (more noticeably on tracks 2,3,4 of the second disc I think). I have tried it on several different players and my PC, and every time it does this. And no, I didn't scratch the CD or anything like that. This was a real bummer on what otherwise would have been a well-satisfied customer. If yours doesn't click like mine, you will otherwise love this CD, Silverchair is one of the best bands on earth and the U.S. is about to find out why.

- I LOVE this cd/dvd

I bought my live from faraway stables from the silverchair website, and i didn't have to pay any shipping (even though it was all the way from AUSTRALIA!!!) and it was actually cheaper than it is on this site. all i can say is that this is an amazing cd. the dvd is awesome to watch (just make sure that you buy the correct zone). the songs on it are great and they even have the b-side "Asylum" which is a beautiful song. BUY IT!!!

- Realy Cool Peformance

Live from far away stables is an excelent buy. Daniel Johns is an amazing performer and as this cd/dvd shows he is also an amazing guitarist and alround musician. High points of this dvd for me is when Daniel takes an amzing solo at the start of huge Australian hit Freak and the incrediably funky version of the door. The set is full of exciting improvised sections in which Daniel usualy takes some awesome solo and then starts singing some weird lyric in a intresting voice. A diorama B side Asylum is also included in the set which is a beautiful song. This is an awesome package.

- THE MOST CREATIVE MASTER PIECE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed Silverchair kick@$$ show in Los Angeles last year & I just had to own a piece of this amazing tour. Although Live From Faraway Stables was recorded in their home town of New Castle Australia, it still reminded me of the show in LA. Silverchair really knows how to provide true qaulity to music. I'm looking foward to their next album & tour. I've been a Silverchair fan ever since their debut back in 1995 & over the years they just kept getting better on ever album. I'm a true Silverchair fan 4-ever & for the record to all the silverchair haters. Silverchair never in anyway ripped-off Nirvana & for the former silverchair fans, Silverchair is not even close to being dead!!!!!!!!

To all the true & loyal Silverchair fans out there, you really gotta buy this kick@$$ dvd/cd combo. You'll especially enjoy the qaulity of the cd's sound. Its like being at the show.

Unless you got to see them live, this is as close as your gonna get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
