- Good Collection
Everything seems fine with the collection: the music is great, the packaging is fine, and the inclusion of the DVD of the concert in the park is a nice touch.
- Great value
This set contains all the original album recordings on individual CDs. The sound quality is very good. There's a bunch of comments here about whether to buy remastered recordings or if the packaging on the album is good.
In truth, if you're just looking to get S&G's albums as a set, this is great value.
As for the actual music... some songs haven't stood the test of time well, and it's interesting to see how S$G adapted to changing tastes and styles over the years. That said, Simon is one of the great songwriters alive and this contains much of his finest work.

- Great content, lousy packaging
Product review, not music content-
First, the artwork on the discs is identical to the the box art. The mini-LP jackets are not high quality like the Japanese sleeves. The inner paper sleeves that hold the CDs are glued and not resealable so you will likely tear them and discard them when opening. The version I have has a cheap cardboard slipcase, not a picture box, and the booklet is comprised of just track listings.
There may be a few versions of this set, so beware. Maybe the version with the actual box is very nice...

- The Collection
The Collection is compilation of all their records they recorded together and The Concert In Central Park. These records are as follows Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.. Sounds of Silence, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme, Bookends and Bridge Over Troubled Water. I love tracks such as Sounds of Silence, Scarbourough Fair, Mrs. Robinson and Bridge over troubled water. Sometimes I feel though that their lyrics are a bit wordy and pretentious. Sounds of Silence is a track that I love but the line about teaching is so 60's and feels so self righteous. I also find their songs to be a bit uneven at times. They are certainly not in the same league as either Beatles or Roling Stones and some of the lyrics seem a bit forced. As if they were trying to impress a little bit too hard.
