Jack Black Calls McCartney Collabo “Delicious,” Metallica Rep for Rockers: What You Didn’t See at the Grammys

Photo: Diamond/WireImage When presented with four words — Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl — Jack Black’s mind leaped to food. “It’s a strange combination but it’s one of those that could end up being delicious,” he told Rolling Stone before the Beatle and Foo Fighter took the stage at last night’s Grammy Awards. “I’m sure the first time they put peanut butter and jelly together they were worried but then they tasted it and we like, wow!” As for McCartney, he revealed he’s making his U.S. festival debut at Coachella this year for one simple reason: he was asked. “I heard it was a really cool festival, and the dates worked, so I could do it,” he said. “Everyone tells me it’s a beautiful location, it’s a really great show and great audience. That’s enough for me.” As for his set, “I don’t know. I’m just going to play whatever seems right on the day. I never plan it too much.” While McCartney will surely give a few thousand concertgoers some incredible memories at the fest in April, he gave one famous fan a thrill last night. “I had a chance to meet Paul McCartney just now,” B.B. King also reminisced about his first-ever Grammy win, for “The Thrill is Gone.” “Glenn Campbell and I were sitting back, just having a little chat and a little taste at the same time. So it seemed to me that every time somebody would win, our congratulations was Glenn and I would have a little sip,” he said with a chuckle. “All of a sudden they call my name: ‘Thrill is Gone,’ B.B. King. I didn’t hear it. So Glenn smacked me and said, ‘B, you won!’ And my knees turned to jelly. Rock Reality Show Recap: ‘Man Band’ Guys Prove They Have Trouble Holding Liquor or a Tune

Misson: Man Band tracks a reality show’s efforts to restore four former boy-banders to their chart-topping glory. RS’ Rock Reality Show Recaps track our efforts to be sympathetic to their cause. Here’s our second report: Thirty Mantastic Minutes in Five Sentences: We’re back at the House That Justin Timberlake Built, or the mansion of *NSYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick, where Bryan Abrams from Color Me Badd leads things off by auditioning for Celebrity Fit Club for five minutes. Abrams wants to lose weight because he feels that in order to succeed in the entertainment industry, you need to have the total package, which evidently doesn’t include talent. We learn where Abrams acquired those extra pounds: beer, and lots of it. During a party that features women who are Rock of Love reject-caliber, Abrams, who had been sober for two months, gets so drunk that he begins telling partygoers he’s both “big and pimpin’.” The next morning, a hungover Abrams blows off his workout program, further proving that he’s in desperate need of a twelve-step program. The Rockin’ Struggle: The Man Band has two tasks this week: Write songs that will impress their producer, Grammy-winner Bryan Michael Cox, and come up with a band name. With Max Martin not around, our quartet struggles to compose a simple chorus; instead, they opt to joke about the word “dictaphone.” The band name meeting goes only slightly better, with Plan B and After Life among the more fitting choices. The Funniest (And/Or Most Honest) Moment: Bryan Michael Cox admits the only reason he’s producing the group is because if he can make the Man Band a success, it would “validate” his career. They're So Not Getting Married

Don't they look almost...cute here? I think the red is working for them. I can't believe I just said something positive about Twig Satan and her band geek. I need to stop sipping on the hooch when I'm blogging. Word is that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden AREN'T getting married anytime soon. In face, they supposedly don't plan on getting married until his shitty band is done touring. Let's face it - this chief is a sperm donor, plain and simple. She glided over the jail sentence and it was too late to have it scraped. So she's stringing his ass along to see exactly how much money the band has made him, and then she's going to text his ass a break-up. Happens all the time. I know I sound brutal, but this cheddarhead was driving the wrong way down the freeway doped out of her mind and did 82 minutes in jail despite a prior conviction. Screw her! Despite reports that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are getting married October 13, a source tells Usmagazine.com that the couple is not planning on tying the knot until after their child is born this winter. In fact, the Good Charlotte frontman is going to be on tour when the alleged wedding was reported to be taking place. "It's such a joke," a Madden source tells Us. "We were all laughing about it. The tour is still on and they have no marriage plans yet." Indeed, wedding planner Lorraine Keseloff confirms that reports that she's handling the Richie/Madden nuptials are totally inaccurate. In fact, she's never even metthe parents-to-be! "I have no idea how this all got started," Keseloff tells Usmagazine.com. "It's been the most bizarre weekend. It's all completely false."
