Social Distortion till Stockholm
I decennier har Social Distortion fostrat och inspirerat punkrockare världen över med sina intensivt råa och tunga riff. Skriv upp 7 augusti i era kalendrar för då är det dags för närvarande på Cirkus i Stockholm att få en lektion i punkrock från ett band som måste ses som levande legender inom genren. Biljetter släpps nu på fredag den 23 mars kl 9.00.
Social Distortion har existerat i hela 33 år, men har trots missbruksproblem och avhoppade medlemmar hela tiden växt som band och lyckats raffinera sitt sound. De har aldrig varit rädda för att ge sig in på nya vägar gällande låtskrivandet, men har heller aldrig offrat något av de traditionella element som alltid har funnits. Social Distortion är och kommer glädjande nog alltid vara ett garageband trots sin storhet och pupularitet.
Mike Ness var bara 17 år när han bildade Social Distortion 1978 i Fullerton, Kalifornien. Sedan dess har bandet genom åren kompromisslöst levererat blytunga, men ändå melodiska låtar som gjort att de accepteras av en bred skara lyssnare i alla åldrar.
Nu år 2012 är publikens sug efter bandet lika stort som någonsin. Att Mike Ness och hans Social Distortion kommer för att inta Stockholm och Cirkus scen den 7 augusti är vi väldigt tacksamma för. Vi har alla något att lära från en av punkrockens riktiga tungviktare.
Som support ser vi Malmöbandet Royal Republic och nya Alonzo & Fas 3 med medlemmar från KSMB, Hellacopters och The (International) Noise Conspiracy.
