- It's just that good...
I had first heard of Something Corporate before "Audioboxer" even came out. I purchased a Drive-Thru records compilation cd and got my first taste of the band with the songs "Konstantine" (probably the best song...ever. everyone MUST listen to that 9 minute masterpeice) and "iF yoU C Jordan". I wanted more.
...
The first Track "Hurricane (The Formal Weather Pattern)" is simply amazing. Wonderful lyrics and the way Andrew uses the piano is genuis. Simply that. Every song on "Audioboxer" is defenately a gem. But the one that stands out the most is "Walking By", emotional and beautiful. One of the best ballads I've heard in a long time. Everything about this song is simply amazing. Andrews unique and powerful voice over the piano and strings. The strings add so much to this song. The lyrics are kinda crypitic, but just adds to the wonderfulness of the song.
All in all, it is worth every penny. It's a must-have if you own "Leaving Through The Window". =) Expect much success from this band...

- This is Music
Now, I will admit I didn't get "Audioboxer" until much after I bought "Leaving Through the Window" and "North", so I was already a huge fan of Something Corporate. I knew that no matter what their EP sounded like, I would at least tolerate it. Little didn't I know, I didn't tolerate it. I worshipped it. This beautiful 6 track EP was worth every penny of the $7.99 I paid for it. It'd be worth $14.99 if it cost that much.
1. "(Hurricane) The Formal Weather Pattern"- An incredible opener this song is, and even though I'd already heard it on LTTW, the version was different and it was still awesome. Josh's lyrics here are very good. The best part? The whole metaphor is so not cliché. I mean, who hears about hot girls being like weather patterns? Well, at least not from the lips of young adult males. Props to Josh, my man.
Even if you have never heard of Something Corporate before, or at least never heard their other CDs- go get "Audioboxer". It's not only cheap, but it's a wonderful introduction to this amazing band. And if you're already a fan, this is definitely a great addition to your collection.

- Deeper Meanings
Something Corporate is a very inspiring band. The music is very melodic with the fascinating piano riffs dubbed over the slamming chord progressions. The music has a upbeat, pushing punk feel with the added emotion of the piano. The lyrics aren't trendy! They are actually very well written. If you look to the deeper meaning. Which I actually believe that some of the peope in the other reviews didn't actually do. Something Corporate is inspiring emo rock and that's how it should be left.

- The Anwser To Corporate Radio
Something Corporate's wonderfully ironic moniker could rise to new hights with the release of Audioboxer. Here is a record that demands and begs for an audience, that adheres to the rules it creates. Yes, a piano can rock; Emo has shades of grey; Rock, punk, and pop are layers, and Andrew McMahon's deliciously expressive voice is the icing. From the opening rush of Hurricane, to the glimmering strings of "Walking By", Audioboxer is filled with catchy hooks and that rare degree of intelligence (Rarely do lyrics tell stories and speak volumes.) If their full length follow up can avoid living up to their title, Something Corporate may truly become an indie powerhouse. A band to watch: An album to treasure.

- OMFG
This is the most original CD ive heard, pretty much in my entire life. You will never hear anything like it. The lead singer, Andrew, has the most serenading, beautiful voice you will ever hear. It's a piano-punk rock mix, and when described (which is quite impossible) it's imagined with less passion and drive as it really possesses. It is somewhat a mix of ben folds and saves the day, but it on occasion ceeps through those boundries. It is in a catagory all its own. The opening track, (hurricane) the formal weather pattern, is possibly the best song I have ever heard. This song is the perfect mix of piano and guitar, and no matter how many times its played, this song ceases to get old, or annoying. The closing song on the CD, Walking by, is possibly the best ballad I have ever heard. Something Corporate's lyrics are incredible, clever, interesting, and easy to relate to. They vary from medaphorical to simply saying what they mean, but they always have a moral that almost anyone whos had a problem can relate to. The song Konstantine, which is not on this album, is a nine minute absolute masterpeice. The most beautiful song I have heard and the lyrics which never cease to amaze me, are better then ever in this song. I cant see what else there is to say, but this album is well worth whatever you pay for it. BUY IT. You will not regret it it is the most amazing thing I have ever heard. Also, buy something corporate's other albums. I have a copy of "ready...break." It is also absolutly stunningly beautiful. Something corporate is by far the best emo/piano-punk band I have ever heard.
