- Pulling Mussels

Argy Bargy could be the soundtrack of my high school years. Pulling Mussels could be the theme song. I am sure my fellow clas mates would concur. I still derive enormous pleasure from blasting Argy Bargy in the car driving down the Long Island Expressway on Friday evenings. each song a reminder of a special time or place. The biggest thrill is having my four year old daughter ask me to sing Pulling Mussels as a bedtime story!

- A great CD.

I luckily stumbled upon the Squeeze album, Argybargy, by reading about a different band in a magazine. I was reading about my favorite band, Glassjaw, and I happened to read that Glassjaw's singer grew up listening to Squeeze because his dad liked them. I checked them out, and Squeeze grew on me right away. They are mellow yet catchy at the same time. All the songs flow smoothly and create a great sense calmness. This is a must have cd and I am just grateful to Glassjaw for introducing them to me.

- One of my favorite albums ever

This album covers all the bases of British 80's New Wave. You can dance to it. The songs are compelling. Couldn't live without a digital copy any longer.

- Squeeze at it's peak

This and "East Side Story" are by far the best Squeeze releases ever. From the brilliant pop classics "Pulling Mussels", "Another Nail In My Heart", "There At The Top" to the slightly off kilter cuts like "I Think I'm Go Go" and "Seperate Beds" the music is bombastic without being overpowering and the lyrics and music blend together seamlessly. Also of note is IMO the best song Jools Holland ever wrote, the Motown influenced "Wrong Side of The Moon". This is Squueze at thier peak.
