Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley Wants to Be Surrounded by Jackasses When Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley isn’t accusing Rolling Stone of trying to have him deported, he’s looking for a few good Jackasses to hang out with. The band’s latest missive to its fans asks that they pull pranks on their friends, Punk’d or Jackass-style, for a chance to lug the Canadian rockers’ gear. The instructions: “Make a video of you pulling a prank on one of your friends. Something hilarious, embarrassing and completely unexpected.” The fan with the best video wins roundtrip ticks to Vegas and a “Roadie for a Day” gig (no pain-inducing pranks, nudity or cursing will be allowed). For a slightly less physical challenge, aspiring stars can instead build their own track on Loud.com using beats crafted by RZA for a chance to open up for the Wu-Tang Clan at Hawaii’s Rock the Bells fest. Deryck Whibley Claims He Was Nearly Deported, Lily Allen Aims at Courtney Love, R. Kelly’s Lawyers Start Their Ignitions Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley claims that an item in Rock Daily about the band’s anti-Bush track “March of the Dogs” nearly got the Canadian rocker deported (to clarify: Rolling Stone asked a Congressman for comment on the song, not for the government to remove Avril Lavigne’s hubby from the country). Lily Allen’s latest incendiary comment is directed at Courtney Love: “One night with [her] made me realize why Kurt Cobain killed himself.” R. Kelly’s sex trial is approaching a start date, as lawyers for both sides are preparing for jury selection. Husband and wife team Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will embark on their first-ever joint tour this fall. Carlos Santana will release Ultimate Santana this fall, featuring the original version of “Game of Love” with Tina Turner on lead female vocals. Photo: Agostini/Getty
