Big ups to Governor Eliot Spitzer for turning a slow news day into ho news day (hey-O!), but while the talking heads in the media are tearing their faces off to find new and interesting ways to say "yeah so another shady politician got busted paying for sex", we here at BWE.tv share none of the shock or outrage with our friends in the mainstream. You see, as the world's pre-eminent source of exclusive gossipy JUICE, we'd obtained pictures that betrayed Spitzer's unsavory ways long ago, but just never thought anybody cared enough about this guy to see them. But apparently you do, so after the jump, our shadowy network of pervy politician operatives has provided us with pics of the Spitz as you never wanted to see him. For shame.

Brooklyn Vegan has a phenomenal assortment of mp3s from The Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie and the lot to honor the individual who was not, in fact, one of Billy Crystal's Catskills pseudonyms. Is there anything more indie than a new Band of Horses track called "Is There A Ghost?" Maybe if it was called "Is there a Ghost of a Wolf?" (The Modern Music) Eardrums brings us three tracks from Swedish electro-poppers If There Is Something. Electro-poppers is a word, right? Not just something served at Music Applebee's? For some reason, in the back of my mind, I keep thinking Oasis died in a plane crash eight years ago and I'm surprised whenever I see material of theirs dated after 2000. LISTEN UP: Are You Bloody Serious?

Finally, a rumor about My Bloody Valentine reuniting! Maybe Jeff Mangum and the Talking Heads will join them onstage, and during the encore, David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen will come out and play "Panama" then make out. (You Ain't No Picasso) Hmm, it actually sounds like My Bloody Valentine really is going to make another record together. Still, I'm not counting my loud, distorted eggs before they harmonize. (Hate Something Beautiful). How do you make an indie pop band? Take some Camera Obscura, mix in some Stereolab, add a pinch of Go-Gos and some Human League... voila! Hearts of Palm UK. (The Devil Has The Best Tuna) Resonator Magazine describes these Glass Candy mp3s as being "so 70’s ice cream psychedelic jam it makes me want to strut around in rJamz’s skates acting a fool." It is one of the most accurate descriptions of a set of songs that I have ever heard. I wish I could say I had a stronger position on the great M.I.A. debate -- everyone seems to love her or hate her, but I think she's just kind of cool n' whatever.
