- BLISSFULLY WONDERFUL

Telefon Tel Aviv are really quite amazing. This EP is a totally beautiful escapade into this kind, absract, IDM-like downtempo. I must realy just mention the first song, being a Telefon Tel Aviv original, called "sound in a dark room." Ok, this song defines that amazing space between you and your loved one.

It is simply one of the finest pieces of emotionally rich music I HAVE EVER HEARD, driven by a defninative, powerful sound of electro-acoustic euphony. The vocals are mixed in musically so not to disturb the wonder of the sound it creates. What else can one say...check it out. The other tracks are supa kind as well; one is a Prefuse 73 remix. DOPE!

Telefon Tel Aviv's "Fahrenheit Fair Enough" is nothing less than amazing. Check that too. I must mention something that concerns me. I recently heard TTA's new single called "my week beats your year" and it is the biggest SELLOUT I have ever come to know. They obviously wish to sell records rather than produce meaningful music anymore. This is very disappointing...but at least we have this EP!!!

- awesome cd

This cd is amazing. This was my first glympse into the world of telefon tel aviv and it wasn't a dissappointment. "Sound in a dark room", in my opinion, the best song that they have ever released. Lindsay Anderson's voice compliments the music perfectly. You should also check out their other two cds but fahrenheit fair enough is a little easier to get into then map of what is effortless.

- Excellent child of 'Farhenheit'

Two new songs and two remixes are certainly enough to qualify an EP as a WORTHWHILE EP. This isn't one of the 'usual' EP affairs by electronic musicians that prominently feature only remixed material, i.e. no effort involved. But this release is an overall very strong project with some real effort put into it.

Anyway, Sound In A Dark Room is a brilliant and lengthy mood-changing piece with some vocal elements that don't feel like bad karoake like 'Map...' does. Easily one of TTA's best tracks.

TTV Remix is a bit off for my tastes, taking away the seemingly free-flowing samples of the music and adding in accompanient some trip-hop elements. It's a nice tune that doesn't really get old.

8 Project Cut is yet another amazing piece that, no matter how menacing it may seem on the first impression, it's really incredibly catchy and focused.

Fahrenheit Fair Enough Remix is a little disappointing, but only because the sirene elements of the original are replaced by some typical percussion, and it gets a little repetitive. It's still good to hear, though leaves the end of the EP a little sour.

Overall fans of TTA will not want to miss out on this one. It's also becoming increasingly rare so if you can find yourself an affordable copy best not to hesitate for long.
