- A classic guitar swirl surrounded by smooth rock.

These albums are a must. To summarise English rock then you have to obtain these albums. The guitar swirls, fast solos, breath taking licks quickly followed by the sky line screaching wah wah slides, all underlinned by the professional Hammond, flowing bass and tight drums. This Uk outfit choose classics riffs and strong song writing to unleash a classic 60's / 70's sound. Very cool indeed. Oh by the way I was told by the keybordist that Cricklewood Green was the Grass there Rodie Grew in London, there should be a picture on the back.

- As fresh a sound now as it was then.

This combo release of what are 2 of the best albums this band produced is a joy to the ears. You can almost see Alvin Lee dripping his sweat like he used to in his concerts. He is one remarkable guitar player. Shhhh is really grabs you and takes you for a fast ride. Cricklewood Green is such a mixture of sounds that the album has to be heard to be believed. Rock music was transforming itself in 1969-70 and this CD reveals its many faces. Green sounds like the Stones, the Guess Who, Hendrix and Creedence all rolled into one. A true GEM!

- Ten Years After - Ssssh

Besides TYA's first album recorded in 1967, Sssh would have to be one of their best albums. Alvin's talent shows through to the max.

- Ten Years After Cricklewood Green MFSL

Cricklewood Green is a combination of SHH & their Cricklewood Green LP's. To the best of my knowledge this is the only true audiophile recording of any Ten Years after LP or CD. Ten Years After has never sounded so good. The sonics bass and transparency are fantastic. Much better than the aluminum CD. I wish someone would do "A space in Time LP." I got a very fair price on this CD through Amazon. If you like Ten Years After this CD is worth a serious listen if the price is right.

- THIS CD IS A MUST!!!

I PAID A LOT FOR THE MOFI VERSION BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. IF YOU LIKE THE KINKY BLUES ROCK OF ALVIN AND THE BOYS YOU SHOULD HAVE THIS.
