- ANGELS...you've got a race to race?

This album is sweet. But don't expect it to change the world. It is a real good rock album, and nothing more. It's much less epic than Devils for the most part. Partly due to the mix not using even close to as much reverb on...well everything. It sounds much more intimate as a result, hence the lack of epicness. This in no way detracts from the album though and seems to fit the "lighter" Angel theme. Also, the guitars are now carrying the main melody, unlike the previous albums where the keyboards played the main melodic lines with guitars chugging along beneath. That's not to say there's no keyboard however. There is lots and lots of it, but used in a more ambient way. Also many strings are used to good effect, including a guest appearance by Apocalyptica on "GHOST." A great album for old and new fans alike, but I would also definitely pick up Devils as the two albums really do go hand in hand. Hell just buy everything by them from Blessed Be on up (at the very least!!) if you are new to the 69 eyes. -END RAMBLE-

- Awesome band

.This CD is just awesome all the songs are great and have meaning to them like the song never say die. If you have seen the movie the gonnies how one them says "goonies never say die" that's how the song never say die was made. There is a interview with the front man talking about it.

The band is just awesome and all their music is awesome as well. I do suggest getting the CD devil's first though before getting angels

- 69 eyes angels great goth rock!!

the 69 eyes angels album released in (2007) is the follow up to their devils cd released in 2005,this album is really good!i became a fan when i bought devils ,i thought this is a cool fairly new melodic hard rock goth band.for me the stand out cuts on angels are;angels, never say die, rocker, los angeles, perfect skin and wrap your troubles in dreams which is a remake of a song on an earlier album by the same title by this band.69 eyes is coming out with a new cd called back in blood in september of 09 that should be good also!!get this cd and devils and blessed be for starters they are all quite good, also get back in blood!!

- catchy as hell

This is less goth, more rock than some of their previous efforts -- but the songs get stuck in your head. Their sound/style is the same as it was on the 'Devils' cd, but the songs are a little better. If you have never heard them before, they are basically some great goth rock in the vein of Sisters of Mercy...but sleazier. Not many bands pull this style off well, but they do.

- Oh well!

Well, I've liked the 69 eyes for a while, because of albums like "blessed be" and "paris kills". This album how ever is not really along the same lines. It feels like their music's become softer, less goth n roll, more glam. I was dissapointed, if you are new to the band I recomend earlier works (the two prior mentioned for instance)

I will rate this album a 3 , because it was not all-bad, it had a couple good tracks, but for being a band that once released albums that I would actually like all the tracks, I really can't rate it any higher!
