Disco de The Beatles: “Beattles Tapes IV.: Hong Kong 1964”
Descripción (en inglés) :
THE BEATLES TAPES IV: HONG KONG 1964 documents a press conference with the Beatles that took place in Hong Kong during their 1964 Asian and Australasian tour. It has never before been released in any form.

Recorded at The President Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong on June 8, 1964. Includes liner notes by Gary Schumacher.

In July 1964, the Beatles' first movie, A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, was released to rave reviews. Their press reception at a Hong Kong hotel on their way home from their Australian and Asian tours a couple of months later finds them tired but jubilant, still courteously returning the occasional journalistic hand-grenade ("Do you think you rely a lot on the amplification?"), and still constantly indulging in therapeutic in-jokes to relieve the pressure of constant public scrutiny.

- A HEARTY YEAH, YEAH, YEAH! I LOVE IT!
I have always enjoyed the Beatles' press conferences and this delightful collection is no exception. Each Beatle is distinct in his presentation; John, the wickedly satirical front man, Paul, the intellectual diplomat, George, the shy, somewhat introspective and rather serious and Ringo, up front and seemingly friendly. Banter and ideas are freely exchanged throughout the press conferences. I really think this is such a treat.
If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. This gets both thumbs up, a round of applause and a hearty yeah, yeah, yeah!

- GROTTY
In general, during press confrences and interviews, the "fabs" were usually bored, tired, stupid or oh so very stoned. On this CD they're all of the above.
