Disco de The Cardigans: “Lovefool”

The already overplayed hit ''Love Fool'' happens to be here in its remixed form. As-well as Todd Terry's mixes are simply excellent, which got lots of plays in clubs back then during the mid 90's. The frozen Sun mix is deep house with a slight retro/electro disco response, Nina Persson's voice has been semi-vocoded and the lines such as ''I cried, I prayed and I said'' work perfectly with the vocoder effect, only thing that disappointed me about this mix was that the awesome instrumental strings were completely removed. Puck's version is a huge decline over the original. Then there's the Radio Edit which was used in the movie ''Cruel Intentions'' which is definitely the most popular version of the song with its friendly Pop & Rock sound.

I figure if you liked this song, then why not get to hear it in it's vastly remixed form?.

The remixes are not good. I thought the Tood Terry's mixes could be nice, but this time it wasn't like this.

For better or worse, LOVEFOOL is the track that put The Cardigans on the map. And there's no denying: it's a slice of pop heaven. But their other work was unfortunately shunned when the fickle public expected another piece of bubble gum. Obviously, they weren't prepared for the darker elements that pop up regularly in their repetoire. Too bad. On this single, you get the delectable original as well as an acoustic "Puck Version." Todd Terry puts a house beat behind the track with pleasing enough results on his "Club Radio" mix. His "Frozen Sun" mix tries the patience, though.

I DON'T HAVE THIS SINGLE I HAVE THE ALBUM 'FIRST BAND ON THE MOON'. THE SONGS ON THAT ALBUM ARE NOT GOOD EXEPT LOVEFOOL I LOVE THAT SONG, IT SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS AN 80'S VIBE TO IT!!!!
