- its alright

The Casualties get alot of crap for being really generic, dumbed down punk that's more about the fashion than the music or the life style and that's probably well deserved critism. If they get some kids who'd probably never have had a chance to hear true punk into other bands like Dead Kennedys, Gang Of Four, Ramones, Black Flag, Aus-Rotten, Off!, The Stooges, Caustic Christ, Tribe 8, the Melvins, GBH, or you name it because this was one of the first bands that got them into punk then that's cool with me. Maybe they'll become independent thinkers and rebel against society. Probably not, though. Most likely they'll think punk is all about leather jackets and funny hair then grow out of it while missing the whole point of what punk was really all about! What a shame.

The Casualties are considered a fake punk band for 14 year olds just getting into punk. I don't really care though. I saw em close to a decade ago when this came out and it was a blast and I was only like 16. Looking back this album is kind of bland. The songs sound very similar, the vocals are terrible, and the lyrics make no sense but still it has great energy. I'd take GBH, JFA, MDC, or any other 3 letter named punk band for short and fast catchy punk songs any day but still its fun, fast, and energetic. Cut these guys some slack, you elitists!!!!! Kids, do some speed and listen to this then please stay punk. Forget all the trends (now its hardcore, before it was indie, before that emo, before that ska, before that grunge, before that new wave, etc). Stay punk, stay free, blah, blah, blah. Its ok. There's a lot better stuff to find! UK Subs, Bikini Kill, Grimple, Blatz, Filth, New York Dolls, GBH, Reagan Youth, Butthole Surfers, Wire, Jello Biafra and The GSoM, Misfits, Samhain, Exploited, Nomeansno, DOA, Descendents, The Dicks, Mudhoney, Avengers, Flipper, Fang, Devo, The Clash, Bad Brains, The Adicts, The Screamers, Fugazi, Scream, TSOL, The Spits. You get the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Good album but not the best

Great album for any fan of the casualties. I'd have to say Die hards is my favorite of theirs, So check that out if you don't have it already.

And XckydisengageX, well with a name like that you really shouldnt be commenting about trends. hah. but anyway don't say punk is dead because you don't like the casualties look into it it's not dead, theres a lot of punk bands out there who dont even have songs about politics, and i'm not talking about the crap that passes for "punk" on mtv, so alas, do some research before you bash 'punk' saying it's dead and trendy.

on a last note If i may recall i see more skater wannabe emo kids wearing cky shirts running arround the malls waiting for the latest fashion at hot topic to come in stalk.

Had to let that one out.

- the fury of punk is released

the casualties...ahhh great street punk band, now people are bitching about the way they look, punk isnt about caring about the way other people look, they have great lyrics! i dont know what you guys are talking about. Do you expect them to be the smartest kids in the world? they are kids from the punk scene who grabbed instruments and started to play, thats what its all about, this is a great cd, lots of talk about the system of kid-college-job-death which is great, it gives hope to those who dont want to live insie that system. Now i gave this a 4 because the only band in my mind that deserves a 5 is the ramones.....anyway

r.i.p dee dee and joey

go buy this cd if your a fan of, the unseen, rancid, the distillers, gbh, minor threat, anti-flag, or any other casualties album

punk is dead, enough said. all trhey do is play 3 power chords in a repeeated pattern and whine about politics this is what punk is then? huh something soooo trendy its dead beyond reason. to be punk iso to not even be notified, dress as a punk its just to change. its a rebellious/defensive attitude. not a mohawk or spike or whatever dude this band/music genre is really lame.let it go
