- The 1997 master has more dynamic range. DR6 vs DR9
This is one of the better big beat records and is still a standout today. What they did here was basically go back and just crush the hell out of the dynamic range, as they did with all subsequent albums, and basically call it a day for the Deluxe version. Remixes are too the same and contain some decent stuff. I cannot for the life of me tell the difference between the two masters, there may possibly be small differences, except for the fact that this deluxe version tires my ears out in the treble range and the bass is more beefy and compressed at lower volumes. I would just stick with your old 1997 master and find the remixes somewhere else. The original also has two more songs on the original LP than this version does for whatever reason.

- Re-butchered is more like it!!!
I give this album 5 stars for the original and 1.5 stars for the bonus disc. If it werent for the last 2 tracks (the 93 original demo and Vapor Trail live which is amazing!) it would have gotten 1 star in my opinion. The original Vegas is an all time classic and one of my personal favorites but TCM should never have let these other artists mess with perfection. When it comes to these remixes, "rebutchered" is all that comes to mind, holler out with a "review was helpful" if you agree. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

- Great anniversary edition
It's not easy to review a 10 years old album when you talk about electronic music, but The Crystal Method can keep all these years with a punch.
Vegas was their first album and today sounds as good as the first day, with some of their classics like Busy Child or Keep Hope Alive as cool as ever.
None of their albums sounds exactly like the others but they always sounds like The Crystal Method, and that's a fact about the importance of their work in the electronic music, so it's easy to enjoy with every album they have released.
About this special edition, the second disc comes with a very nice selection of remixes and some very welcome rarities. I only miss the Trip Like I Do version with Filter, it would be a great bonus.
The package is great too, with a digipack covered by a transparent cover. It comes with nice artwork and a booklet which includes commentaries from the guys about the songs and the album.
In all, a great edition and a great album. What else can we want?

- Good Album, could have been better
A- I was expecting this album to be great. i got ok instead. Crystal Method is always amazing live, but for some reason when they put it on an album it looses a lot of its fire. i would recomend this album, but i will only give it an A-
thanks
