Disco de Eagles: “Greatest Hits Vol. 2”
Descripción (en inglés) :
The Eagles: Glenn Frey (vocals, guitar, piano); Don Felder, Joe Walsh (vocals, guitar); Randy Meisner, Timothy B. Schmidt (vocals, bass); Don Henley (vocals, drums).

The Eagles (Rock): Don Felder, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Randy Meisner, Timothy B. Schmit.

Audio Remasterer: Ted Jensen.

The Eagles have been referred to as the American Beatles for their mastery of pop songcraft and their exacting way with production and arrangements. While the L.A. group's country/rock/pop sound bore little in common with the Fab Four's British invasion style, the California boys certainly achieved a (temporarily) comparable iconic status in the mainstream music world. The first volume of the Eagles' GREATEST HITS is one of the best-selling albums of all time, and its successor is just as full of songs that are forever embedded in the consciousness of anyone who heard American pop radio in the '70s and/or '80s. From the twin-guitar assault and druggy narrative of the epic "Hotel California" (essentially the Eagles' "Stairway to Heaven") to the bluesy rock of the Joe Walsh-powered hedonist's tale "Life in the Fast Lane," this compilation presents the band at it's best, in all their multi-tracked, radio-friendly glory.

- love most anything the Eagles perform ... true talent
you can tell true vocal talent when a band can sing together with very little or no instrumentation and has excellent harmony
the Eagles are such a band
likewise with so many writing talents in the band, it is unusual to get a bad song on even the regularly release albums,
so
to get an album of their greatest hits means NO one should be disappointed
- A great CD but...
I am writing this review as it has popped up on my "to review" list. I own this CD but I have for a long time. This features many of the Eagles late 70's hits including Hotel California. This is a great CD that I have listened to many times. The problem with it is that it does not contain ALL of their hits. This was a follow up to a previously released greatest hits which included songs from the early 70's. Furthermore it does not include anything the Eagles released in the last 25 years. In it's time I would have given it 5 stars and rave reviews. If purchasing Eagles recordings today, I am certain that there are better compilation CDs available.
- A "MUST HAVE" FROM THE EAGLES.
EAGLES GREATES HITS VOLUME 2 IS THE CORNERSTONE TO THEIR WORK. WHETHER YOU'RE AN AVID FAN OR CURIOUS, I CONSIDER THIS A "MUST HAVE."
