The sound quality on this is pretty terrible but this is a top notch collection of live tracks. Highlights are Hey Fascist, which turned up later on Middle Class Revolt, and Oh Brother and Cop It, which both turned up on Wonderful&Frightening. The version of Louie, Louie is preceeded by a fond farwell to the base player, setting the pattern for turnover for the next 25 years. This is The Fall at their spitting, biley best and there's real passion and energy about the performance. There's also some good banter from MES. It's the only Fall live album I keep coming back to. Play it really loud. Highly recommended-uh
Admittedly where I am this is cheap ( 9 - and even then I got in on discount ) and what I got was not pretty. The tape that Mark E. Smith has of this seems to nearly give up the ghost. There are some nice moments on this though. Enough to inquire investigation over some of their other material ( admittedly I'm new to the game ) but you have to bear with the terrible sound quality. However given that this is MES we're talking about, the front cover says all - if you don't like it, this is what I think of ya anyway
Still only one for possible diehards but the price Amazon here is a little off-putting nonetheless
